The Hampton Inn in Greensburg, gets a …
Green Light!
Bottom Line Up Front:
This hotel has everything covered; it is clean, quiet and comfy, has an outdoor pool, fitness center, a DIY continental breakfast, and the hotel staff make you feel like family!
The check-in/check-out was very smooth, the welcome team were pleasant and helpful. The staff also provided complimentary water when asked and were always ready to help if needed.
Since our last stay here, there have been some noteworthy and nice improvements. For instance the fitness room was one of the nicer ones that I have seen at a Hampton Inn. It is easy to get a full body workout as It included dumbbells ranging from 5 to 75 lbs, a Tag jump box, a Peloton bike and two treadmills.
There is also a business center and a meeting room which we did not use.
The WiFi worked well and there was plenty of parking on site. The hotel is walking distance from the Boulevard Grill and Dino’s Sports lounge and a short drive from Little E’s Pizzeria and a local favorite for frozen treats, Meadows.
Our reasonably-priced room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The climate control was easy to use. There were plenty of towels and towel holders for a family of four.
The outdoor was great for splashing around and cooling off. There is also an outdoor patio and grilling area.
The free continental breakfast was what you come to expect from Hampton Inns (DIY waffles, eggs, yogurt, cereal and more). There was something for everyone.
There was a convenience counter on site which you could purchase drinks and snacks from at an additional cost.
Overall, it was a great stay. It matched or exceeded our expectations for comfort, cleanliness, customer service and cost.

Read moreI stayed from Friday evening till Monday morning on the 3rd floor, it was very clean, had a Good breakfast in the morning. I gave 3 stars because the toilet would barley flush. I complained Saturday evening when I returned for the day. A friendly person came up with a plunger did their best but it didn't improve much. I was told that the last people before me had also complained. I was also told that the maintenance person would be in the morning. Sunday I left to go out for the day, trusting that someone would be in to look at the toilet, apparently no one came. It was late when I returned Sunday night I had to leave early Monday morning. Monday morning the toilet stopped flushing. I got someone from the front desk again, he too came with a plunger, did his best but it was clear something had to clogged or blocking the flow so it still wouldn't flush properly. Needing to use a toilet before I left the hotel to go back to Georgia, I had to use the restroom on the first floor next to the elevator.
Another thing, I used the App key while I was there which was fine until Monday morning, On my first trip to my car around 6 30 am it automatically checked me out. So I couldn't get back into my room. Luckily for me this happened at the same time the gentleman came up from the front desk to look at the toilet, so he let me in. I called the manager later that day and she refunded me for one night.
Would I stay again? Probably, it was very clean and the staff was very courteous and professional, but no matter where I stay now on I'll make sure everything is working properly before I...
Read moreStaff at front desk was mean and rude. Didn't feel welcomed. My check in time was 3pm. After driving 5 hours to Pittsburgh for my son to attend his college orientation at the University of Pittsburgh, I was so exhausted and had to wait until 3pm to check in at the hotel. I arrived at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Greensburg, PA at 2:50 with my 15 year old and 7 year old daughter. I asked the attendant at the front desk if I could check in because I had arrived in Pittsburgh at 10am and was very tired. She told me I had to wait until 3pm. We sat in the lobby and waited. At 3pm I walked up to the front desk to check in and I was told the room was not ready. They finally checked me in at 3:30pm. I asked when was check out and they said 11am. I showed them my reservation and it said check out was 12noon. The attendant insisted I had to get out at 11am the next morning. Went up to the room and it smelled horrible and the floor was dirty. I didn't make a big deal because I was tired and wanted to rest. Later that evening, my daughter used the toilet and it got clogged. Had to call front desk to unclog the toilet. We slept and the next morning I called front desk and asked if I could check out at 11:30am since I was checked in late the day before. They said no and I had to leave at exact 11am. I pleaded with them and they said their were no exceptions. The attendant at the desk was so rude and very impolite. He was the same male attendant that checked me in the day before. I would never recommend the Hampton Inn and Suites in Greensburg, PA to anyone. Horrible...
