After passing by this place consistently, and seeing how busy it was every time we went past, we finally got to experience it for ourselves.
The first thing we noticed upon pulling into the place were smiling faces coming out with to go containers in hand.
The place was busy (Saturday evening dining), but we (party of 2 adults and 2 kids) were seated within 5 minutes of getting into the place.
Our server Sean was extremely helpful, attentive and super nice. We ordered:
Meatball hoagie with fries Crabby patty with fries Chicken bruchetta pasta Reuben sandwich
The Meatball hoagie (whole) was huge. I ordered a side of marinara because I'm one who appreciates dripping sauce on such a hoagie. I was only able to finish half of it. Packed with house made meatballs and cheese. The extra sauce actually served as a dipping dish more than it was anything else because the hoagie came perfectly made! The bread was crusty and held up excellent with the meatballs and the taste was that of a hoagie made from the old neighborhood pizza places of my childhood.
The Reuben was literally the best my beautiful Mrs had ever experienced. Packed with corned beef and kraut and the dressing....something special is going on there that just sets this Reuben apart and above. It is truly crave worthy.
The Crabby patty was packed full as well and thoroughly enjoyable.
The Chicken Bruchetta pasta was delicious. The balsamic dressing on it made this dish absolutely crave worthy.
Even the coffee was good which is a consistently overlooked!
The only thing you're going to need to remember here is - come HUNGRY. The portions are noteworthy and huge!
The menu is a variety of delicious! Another great...
Read moreWe stopped in for lunch and experienced a short wait, likely due to the restaurant being understaffed. However, once seated, the service was impressively prompt and efficient. We chose to sit at one of the high-top tables in the bar area, where one bartender was managing the entire 20-seat bar and seven tables on her own. Despite the workload, she remained attentive, friendly, and demonstrated a deep care for customer satisfaction. Truly commendable service.
For appetizers, I ordered the mozzarella sticks, and they were fantastic—you could tell they were homemade. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and paired perfectly with a rich, flavorful marinara dipping sauce. I followed that with the chicken bruschetta, which exceeded expectations. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the balsamic glaze complemented the dish beautifully without overwhelming it.
To drink, I had the strawberry sangria, which was refreshing and well-balanced, made with a semi-sweet wine that enhanced the overall flavor. The only thing missing was a bit of fresh fruit to elevate it even further. My mother ordered the turkey pretzel club with homemade potato chips and was just as pleased—everything was fresh, hearty, and satisfying.
Our server brought out a tray of sample desserts, all of which looked incredible. We ended up taking five to go. While the desserts were not show-stopping, they were still enjoyable—and the fact that they were all made in-house made them feel more special. I’ll always take a homemade dessert over a generic store-bought one any day.
Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience with standout service, quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll...
Read moreEnjoyed a nice first time visit over restaurant week.
We were able to get the last table on the patio, which was comfortable and relaxing. We were really impressed by the amount of food per person on the restaurant week menu. We got the fried zucchini and bruschetta as appetizers.
The fried zucchini was nicely presented in spirals and the bruschetta was on nice ciabatta bread with a balsamic drizzle. I would order both of them again on the regular menu.
The salads that came with our entreés were also of a nice size and had plenty of toppings (eggs, beets, cucumbers, tomatoes.) The ranch dressing was really delicious.
The entrees were actually the only underwhelming part of the experience. Again, the portions were quite generous, but my vegetable shrimp pasta was rather bland and my husband said his prime rib was just okay. The shrimp on my pasta though were large and nicely cooked, just the overall sauce was bland and the zucchini and spinach made the dish overall rather watery.
For dessert, the had a variety of cakes. I very rarely get cakes at restaurants because so often they are dry, but the cakes they have were so good! We got pistachio and white almond and they were both very moist and flavorful.
Overall, we had a nice first time and will probably go back to try their regular menu, though I do hope that we find more flavorful...
