I had 4 rooms booked for a funeral for the weekend. Due to lack of adequate accommodations in the city we chose this Hampton. I had 4 rooms reserved on my CC and I received a call from Danyelle that she needed to go ahead and charge one nights room and tax on each of my rooms to solidify our rooms or they would be canceled. Although she was professional, accommodating and thoughtful are two different things. She told me all my rooms would be canceled if didnt call back with a card on each one. Which was a TOTAL inconvenience, my parties were all coming in form different states and I had to get each one to call in and give their cards to charge, which is something I’ve NEVER had to do before with Hilton. Being a former resort GM myself I recognized she just was teynung to secure revenue for the property which I wasn’t mad at but was disappointed in. I’ve stayed in Hilton’s in almost every state and NEVER had to do that before. 1st red flag…..2nd red flag….upon checking in Mr Brown was EXTREMELY accommodating and professional as well as overwhelmed. He was severely understaffed and doing the best he could to ensure not only is but everyone checking in had a decent experience. Once we made it to our room ….we were checked into room 318 one of the “newly renovated” rooms …the AC until had raw electric wire hanging out that Mr Brown had maintenance fix, & the entire 3rd floor wreeked of marijuana , somebody was having a good time…room was poorly decorated with cheap decor and hotel overall felt unsafe with no security in sight all weekend. The morning breakfast was average at best and honestly was glad to check out the next morning. The highlight of the stay was Mr Brown at checkin. He needs a raise and to be in management. Will...

Read moreBeing from the Mississippi delta,& having FREQUENTLY Patronized Hampton Inns, with satisfaction, I booked my 81 year old father a room fri, 10/5, in Greenwood ZMS as he was passing through, visiting families and gravesides. The hotel itself was clean, quiet, but the desk staff Brittany, was unfriendly, & unwelcoming. My father checked into his room, showered, dressed for dinner, returning to the desk, asking for information to the closest, restaurant for dinner. Brittany very hurriedly, told him the name of a restaurant, stating it was RIGHT BEHIND hotel, & sent him on his way, as she was too busy to deal with him. Being DARK, & him from out of the area for over 30 years, he drove and drove. Finally, he received help from a local, asking for the restaurant he was sent to,& it was over 3 miles away. He went there, enjoyed his dinner, but upon returning to hotel desk, stoped by to tell Brittney of her error,& his terrible ordeal finding it well after dark, she responded,.. " YOU GO SIT DOWN OVER THERE, I'M calling the police" My father, very ANNOYED, & put out at 81, stated, I'll be in my room! He witnessed from his room 2 police cars circling the parking lot, but NEVER came into his room. My elderly father felt TARGETED & harassed. I called Brittney the next day, VERY upset, repeating what happened, she DENIED the entire incident. I'm SADDENED my veteran 81 year old father was traveling ALONE on this trip,& treated with SUCH DISRESPECT! I am ivy NO MEANS RACIST, but he was one of the FEW CAUCASIANS in this establishment, & was treated VERY RUDELY! Reverse DISCRIMINATION? You decide... let's be KIND to ALL our elders, & VETERANS! TRIPADVISOR will be my...
