le all over the country north south east and west . My visit to last experience made a already painful trip worst I was there for a funeral . From the check in it was a nightmare

Adding insult to injury the smoke detector was broken the wires were dangling from it . Second room I was moved to the ac control was broken .I was tried and just tired I turned it off . I notified the front desk the following morning in Pearson of the problem as I was leaving for the funeral services of the problem. I received a call from the hotel about 2:30 asking if I was checking out . I asked why because I was not scheduled to check out until Sunday 9/16 . They apologized after locating the points/cash reservation . Then when I returned later that evening I was I formed the unit could not be fixed because of a factory set . I guess someone tampered with it to smoke . The room did have that smell . I had febreeze so it helped with the odor. I was transferred to another room . 508 across from elevator . The AC was off the carpet was damp from the humidity . At that point I was to tried and grieving so I just want to bed . If this is how IHG GOLD Elite members are treated...
Read moreI've stayed at 3 other comparable hotels in the Greenwood area and this is the best for your dollar. We visit a student at Mississippi Valley about once a month. This hotel is in a great location. Close to old downtown but also close to fast food, resturaunts, gas stations and Walmart. I was able to check in early with a phone call. The lady on the phone was eager to help and accommodating. When we arrived the gentleman behind the desk wheeled out the baggage cart to our car. Parking was ample and a quick walk to the front door. The front desk associates were very friendly and welcoming. The gym had just enough equipement for a good workout after being in the car for 6 hours. The bed was really comfortable and the room was cool, clean and spacious. The bathroom was also clean, spacious and well stocked. TV was easy to work and it swiveled so you could watch it from the couch area. I was on the 3rd floor and never waited more than 30 seconds for the elevator. It was in good operating order, clean and a quick ride every time. Breakfast was warm and good. Especially the sticky buns. I always felt safe in and around the hotel. It was also quiet. I never heard a peep from other hotel guests. Overall this was a great experience and the only Greenwood hotel I will return to...
Read moreI arrived at the hotel after driving for almost 12 hours to be given a room with kids Christmas wrappings and empty toy boxes everywhere. Bathroom filthy with water running, towels all over the bathroom floor, and beds not cleaned. The room was a mess. I called down to the front desk to ask was she aware of the room conditions and she asked what was wrong. I said everything she said she would come up. I waited about 10mins and she hadn’t made it I was already tired so I went back down but by then she had come up. Remind you she wasn’t busy only sitting in the lobby with her guy friend. So when we finally met back up we both went back up stairs to verify the room conditions instead of just giving me another room. She took pictures and said she was sending them to her manager which would be in the next morning. I saw the manager the next morning and asked was she the one the lady sent the pictures to last night she replied No but I did hear about it. I said so is there another manager I need to be talking to? She said we apologized correct? I said No but if that’s what you think is enough I will just call cooperate because I see you are very rude. I walked off before I ruined my family holiday.
