This hotel was centrally located for the pipelines various substation work I was there for. Hindsight being 20/20 I would've elected to stay in another town as Guernsey, WY dosen't offer too many amenities (namely restaurants). Here's the good: quick and friendly check in. Here's the bad: no elevator so you'll need to carry you're luggage upstairs if you don't get the first floor. Usually if I have taken my dinner back to the room, I'll leave trash in a bag outside my room when I leave for work in the morning...it stayed there for three days. And here's the ugly: I found an open beer can in my shower sitting on the upper shelf where the tile meets the wall...strike one for cleanliness. Strike two was finding what looked like a blood stain on the other queen bed when I initially checked for bedbugs (always check for bedbugs!) so that was not only disgusting but also disturbing...at this point I would typically check out immediately but unfortunately there simply was no other accommodation options. I thoroughly checked the other queen bed and it checked out okay. I'm a spire member of Holiday Inn and have been for 20 years as I travel extensively for work so I've seen more than a fair share of hotels across our great country. If you must stay here I would inspect everything...twice, but would recommend driving another 50 miles every day to avoid this...

Located by Fort Laramie National Historic Site and Gurnsey State Park, the Cobblestone Inn makes a great place to lay your head for the night. The hotel is located right alongside the Platt River and there are tables out on the lawn where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and the river passes by.
The rooms were very clean and have the common amenities. refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, flatscreen TVand an in-room safe. The room was very clean, smelled good and the air conditioner was set at a comfortable temperature when we walked into the room. The shower was awesome with plenty of water pressure and a great shower head.
The staff was very nice and efficient when we checked in. She provided us some information about how to find dinner, and there are menus for the local eating spots available in the room.
The Cobblestone Inn serves a continental breakfast with the room. We had a nice stay...
Read moreVery disappointed. We really enjoyed this hotel last year. This trip we brought our 83 year old grandma. And her walker. This is a two story hotel with NO ELEVATOR. Desk clerk was polite and friendly. She upgraded one of our rooms to a suite because it was the only room left on the first floor. She felt bad but shouldn't you warn 2nd floor reservations of the lack of elevator? I had to make the reservation last minute, when I called their internet was down so she had to call back. No elevator. Upon check out, internet went down again, they emailed receipt when it came back up. When we utilized the free breakfast, they were out of milk, no coffee made, not enough eggs for everyone. It's all little stuff but for $300 between the two rooms, it's pretty annoying. Hopefully next trip we can make reservations earlier... And...
