The room was nice and comfortable. Everything was clean. Nothing to complain about. It was very average. The main office is in the white house but its not really an office. You ring the door bell. They open the door. And you walk into a foyer that has a table. That's all the further you go. You dont even really get through the door. Regardless, it was nice. And theres a drop box for your keys by the door. I would definitely stay here again.

Great price for a motor Lodge (car parked just outside door). Minimum amenities and paper thin walls means you pay for what you get. Your neighbors' noise level will determine the quality of your stay. We got lucky and had a family who went to bed early.

Bed bugs. Stay at your own risk. Lift up the mattresses before you bring any of your belongings into the room. Carpets are nasty and have tons of white powder along the walls.

The first thing that hit me was that when we walked in, there was an overwhelming smell of something resembling a urinal cake or the cleaning substance used in highway rest stops. We guessed they just cleaned and that was the smell from their choice of cleaning supplies. The room was dark, partly from the walls being painted a dark color. There was no phone, so if your cell was dead and you needed to call the office, you were out of luck. ||||There was a small refrigerator, but if you were planning to use if for bringing back a doggie bag from a restaurant, it was too small to be used for anything wider than 4", so nothing that wasn't wrapped as a swan out of foil. ||||The tv instructions were hand written on a small card and missed a step. There was no guide and the only thing we could get was CNN. My son, in the next room couldn't get his tv to work at all. ||||When we turned the lights out to sleep, the parking lot light was so bright that it looked like daylight inside, despite the fact that the shade was down and the curtains were pulled together. The beds were mushy and the bedding was very old and weird, like the blanket looked like it was originally a bolt of fabric normally used as a mattress pad and that was just cut for the bed size. The sheets were nubby and were permanently stained with things like spots from a broken pen or something that looked like that. When I looked under the bed before leaving to be sure nothing fell, the box spring was sagging so badly that you could not see under...

My sister and I stayed at the Fairfield Lodge two nights while visiting Gettysburg. We were pleased to fine a vintage motel with very clean rooms all on the ground floor with parking in front of each room. The lady on duty was very friendly. It was available at a very reasonable price, the most reasonable in the Gettysburg area. It is in historic Fairfield about 8 miles down RT. 116 in the picturesque farm country near Gettysburg.|If you are looking for luxury, this may not be for you, but if you are looking for a clean, quiet room, this is perfect. The mattress was extremely comfortable. The grounds were shady with picnic tables and chairs on the porch. We enjoyed the short drive each morning and evening. I would have enjoyed a shelf over the bathroom sink, and all the bathroom fixtures were in one room as it is a vintage experience. I...

My wife and I stayed here because it is less than a mile away from the local ski resort, and it costs less than half the price of a room at said ski resort. We were happy with our stay, but realized the hotel lacked certain amenities to offset such good prices. The walls are paper-thin here, so your night will depend on your neighbors. We got lucky and had neighbors who also went to bed early, presumably to ski the next morning like us. The owners are lovely. We're glad they provide such an affordable...
