Big Joe's State Park Motel — Hotel in Harrisville Township

We called ahead of time to see if they had anything available they said yes so we went there it was a little nuts when we got there should of been a sign . But it was getting ready to rain and we were on a bike so we stayed. Got into the room refrigerator did work no TV service and when we called the desk they didn't know about the refrigerator they said they would bring us a different one and the TV service they said oh yeah we know about they sorry forgot to tell you . after me bitching a little they said they would give us 10.00 back the room cost 70.00 to stay so in the end we still payed 60.00 it's a good thing the weather turned cold and wet tonight it's the only reason we are still here ...

We stayed one out of two nights. The office was my first red flag. It smells of animal feces. The rooms smell like old ashtrays. I mentioned it to the lady there and she blamed it on herself saying she just smoked so the smell was coming from her. It wasn't, it was the room. The air conditioning unit made weird noises all night like someone was trying to get in through it. Their friendly, right across from the state park, the rooms are nice and clean spacious showers. With air-conditioning Wich is a pluse in July. We watched the sunrise for the first time over a Grat Lake. We only see the sun set on our side of the state on lake Michigan.
