We recently stayed at the Moonlight Treehouse for Mother’s Day/ Mom’s 80th birthday. It is the accessible treehouse located on the right when you enter the grounds. It has a wooden stable bridge you can walk directly into the treehouse, across from the gravel road where your car has it’s own designated parking.|Our host, Kelly went out of her way to welcome us! She gave my Mom a big treat with HB greetings, decor and a lil chocolate cake that we devoured, it was so good! It was a delight seeing my Mom’s big smile the whole time, I knew we had found a great place. |The treehouse is huge and decorated so cute. There were even twinkle lights. The lil bar overlooking the trees was where we had all our meals. There is a mini fridge, stocked with water, juice and homemade breakfast treats! Also included, a microwave and Keurig coffee maker with cute Cottage mugs. Be sure to purchase one before you go, only $20, and an instant memory link to your time in the trees while sipping your coffee or tea at home. |Bonus for indoor plumbing! The pipes do make a lil rumble but I will happily tolerate that for having a flushing toilet, which is not very common in treehouses. |It was rather refreshing not to have a TV. We just turned my phone on for background music, while we crafted and read our books. I had brought a treehouse puzzle for us to do together, but the narrow bar tables weren’t big enough, so no larger table available there but not needed, as you have a long bar with swivel stools overlooking the trees. Most of our time was spent on the porch overlook & I loved the evening and early morning stillness with only birds punctuating the air. However, one downside is the treehouse overlooks a road which was far busier than expected during the day. But then again, we were there earlier than normal with early check-in so with normal check-in time you would not heard as many cars. |I have to say the customer service was 110%! Not only did we receive emails but texts with video instructions that helped make the trip so much easier. Be sure to stop by their lil gift shop in the events building and make sure you give Property Mgr/Security/Welcoming Cmte host, Maple...
Read moreWe truly enjoyed our stay at The Cottage in Hermann. It was so convenient and unique! However, we ran into some trouble with our water over the weekend, and the owners were AMAZING at communicating with us, and even went so far as to replace the pump for us and bring water to us in the middle of the night. It was a fluke incident where our water pump broke, and they resolve the issue with us in a way that made us feel comfortable and justified. I cannot recommend the Cottage enough on its own as a wonderful place to stay in general, but also, because the owners put so much care and consideration into our experience, and resolving issues with us as they came up. Customer service is so important these days and we were really impressed with the lengths they went to to keep us comfortable, even when things came up that were entirely out of their control. I would give them my business again on this principle alone.||ADDITIONALLY! They made us homemade quiche, muffins, and provided us with juice and water, and we had access to the Hermann trolley system that made getting to the wineries fun and simple. All 6 of us girls had a great time and from start to finish, felt that our trip was easy to plan and easy to carry out. Highly recommend it to anyone planning a family...
Read moreWe will never forget our trip to The Cottage. It was incredible. My husband and I stayed in The Sunrise Tree House. The tree house was absolutely charming. I loved all of the windows and beautiful decor. We loved the view.
But as wonderful as our tree house was, what I will remember the most is the hospitality of the owners of The Cottage. A snow storm broke out while we were there. Our car was stranded after we went into a ditch. A kind couple got us to The Cottage. Once we made it into our tree house, we called the owners and asked for help. They gave us info for a towing service and brought us dinner from a local restaurant since we were stranded! They went above and beyond and took wonderful care of us.
The view from the tree house in the snow storm was stunning. It was so warm and cozy inside. It was an experience we will never forget.
After a good nights' sleep, The Cottage provided a delicious breakfast and great conversation. The owners truly care about their guests. When we were ready to leave, they helped us get our car out of the snow. It took half an hour and they were eager and ready to help us.
Words cannot express how much we loved our tree house adventure. We will be back again and highly recommend The Cottage...
