I have to say I have made it a personal policy to never leave reviews, it's just not my thing. HOWEVER, my husband and I had the privilege of being Shanna's 2nd official guests and our experience was so wonderful, i had to break my own policy. Oh my,, where to start!! First of all from the moment she greeted us at the front door we felt like we were long lost family being welcomed home. She showed us to our lovely room and then where all the common areas were. She made sure we had everything we needed and a fabulous recommendation for dinner, ( 404 Celsius, outstanding steak!). Breakfast the next two mornings were some of the best we've ever had. A great start to the day. Then there is the house itself. Since we were in town for a wedding, we chose the Hope Suite because it has plenty of room to get ready in. At least that's what I told myself. In reality, it's just gorgeous!!! I enjoyed having my coffee on the private deck before breakfast. Over the years we have stayed at some very, very nice B&B's. I can honestly say I have never enjoyed any of them anymore than our stay here. Between the charm of the beautiful historic house, and Shanna's genuine southern hospitality, this is going to be one of Georgia's top B&B's.

My daughter works at the Hogansville Zoo & We stayed here this past Saturday to attend the annual charity Gala! Which was a very short 5 minute walk from this place. & my only regret was I FORGOT TO SIGN MS. SHANNON'S GUEST BOOK! This is a beautiful place inside & out! While our stay was very short, I can still say you feel immediately at home the second you walk in! Its quiet, Its relaxing, & we are planning to stay again & again. I wish we could have stayed a little longer just to soak in the scenery not only outside but mostly inside! I could walk around & around this place for hours enjoying all the beautiful decor! The old telephone in the dining room by the door is hands down my favorite piece. The massive colorful glass chandelier in the parlor is amazing & my husband hasn't stopped talking about the giant globe since he laid eyes on it. WE VERY MUCH ENJOYED OUR STAY HERE MS. SHANNON! We'll be seeing you again! Thanks so much for having us! & I am very sorry I forgot to sign out in the guess book!

I’ve stayed at a lot of B&Bs thru the years, and Hogan House is one of the best. And that’s not hyperbole - here’s why. The house itself - it’s gorgeous. Beautifully maintained with fantastic curb appeal and era-appropriate colors outside, and calm, cool, dark wood interiors. Fantastic craftsmanship on the woodwork inside as well. The amenities - Brooklinen linens and bath towels, coupled with the best part of a Bed and Breakfast, the breakfast. Linda sets a mighty fine breakfast table and knows her way around a casserole! Speaking of Linda - sweet and very knowledgeable about the house and the surrounding town. She steered us to a pizza place for dinner (Karvela’s) that rivals many others I’ve been to! You won’t go wrong staying at Hogan House. And with Senoia and Serenbe within a short drive it’s perfect for a weekend away.

My husband and I had a romantic getaway last night. We stayed in the Pearl room. We were looking for an out of town getaway (not too far since we have a 9-year-old and no close by relatives) with a quiet atmosphere. The Hogan House was perfect from the hardwood floors throughout to the Christmas decorations; the attention to architecture throughout the home; the gas fire in the living room on Friday night; the tier of candies available in the living room while you enjoy the fire; and the overall ambiance! Our room was luxurious! We had a fluffy duvet on our bed, and while we relaxed watching a movie on our big screen TV, a wonderful breeze of lavender was coming from my pillow :) We brought microwave popcorn with us just in case, and the hostess graciously popped it for us. The bed was very comfortable! The breakfast was AMAZING! We had a gourmet breakfast of scrambled eggs with peppers and onions and cheese. We also had a delicious dish of shrimp scampi (sweet & sour, I believe), hash brown casserole and a tomato souffle. The best part of our breakfast was the dessert!!! It was an Australian dessert called Pavlova (name after the famous ballerina). It was made of meringue, whipped cream, strawberries, kiwi, blueberries and chocolate drizzle! The owner entertained us some with memories of her travels to other places throughout the world. Sherri is a native of Australia. Thank you for a wonderful...

We visited the Hogan House for an overnight visit. If not careful you can pass it but there is adequate signage. There is also adequate off-street parking. ||We checked in and were shown to the Iris Suite. The suite was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. Not many rooms have a fireplace in the bathroom with a claw foot tub. ||However, when we were shown the room we were pretty sternly told to only turn the main light on and off at the wall switch. The light also controls the ceiling fan. Our problem was we could never figure out how to leave the ceiling fan on without the light being on. This made our room stuffy and quite warm leading to a poor nights sleep. This is a situation any electrician could remedy in about 15 minutes like we have at home. ||We tried to call the host to see what to do but could not get any help. Truthfully no no number or contact information was given. I actually called the main number on their website and have not received a response in over 48 hours. ||Second we were told we would have scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast. The dining room was very pretty but when we visit a bed and breakfast we look forward to a unique breakfast. We can have eggs, bacon, and grits at home. ||So a beautiful house but a poor night’s sleep with an average breakfast with no visitor support deserves a...

This B&B is AMAZING! Shanna, our hostess, was absolutely wonderful! She has only been the manager since October 2024, but she is incredibly accommodating to our every need. We had the three downstairs rooms. One of the rooms had an AC issue which was discovered about 8:00 p.m. our first night. When called, Shanna and her husband came over right away and fixed the problem. She offered to prepare an upstairs room, if they could not get it fixed. This beautiful home is filled with antiques and stained glass. Breakfast was just wonderful - delicious and beautifully presented! Hogan House was just perfect for our family. The beds were very comfortable. Every room had a fireplace. The antiques were beautiful. Even though you felt like you stepped back in time, we had wonderful modern conveniences. In most hotels and B&B's you have to hunt for enough outlets for phone, clock, etc. Each bed had a power strip on each side to accommodate all of our power needs! We had a very pleasant comfortable area to sit and visit. I can't say enough good things about our experience there. I would give it 10 stars, if I could! I would definitely stay there any time I am in the area and highly recommend Hogan House Bed & Breakfast, now renamed "Intermission...
