So many things about this place are beautiful, magical, and amazing. We planned our wedding here and had about 20 of our family, guests stay here. Worked with their staff out of season, in October. The ceremony went smooth and guests had a mostly enjoyable experiences. The caterer and bartender had plenty of space to prep and serve. The ceremony was outdoors and guests had a great view! I made sure to text and email as each of these issues came up. She responded quickly and came over, but never followed up other than to apologize. Unfortunate events made the wedding theme of "haunted mansion" come true: 1) The ceiling leaked from the Neverland room down into the nautical room. So the people in the very top room had to walk to the first floor to shower in the pool/spa area. 2) the nautical room, Darling room, And master suite all had electrical outlets that didn't work. One room we had to plug a long extension cord in from the hall to have chargers for phones or hair dryers in the entire 3 nights. No solving that. 3) The lawn was overgrown so a guest helped us weed whack before the ceremony in his nice suit. 😞 4) Outside lights didn't work, so a team member came during the reception to replace so we could play our games as hoped. 5) Theater room gets very hot with 20+ people. No fans except for 2 small table top ones. 6) Neverland door handle broke and the staff was never able to fix it. Many perks to this place. Was it worth $12,000 for 3 nights given the many errors and no resolution or reimbursement of any kind with the things that went wrong. No. Such a bummer on an otherwise beautiful wedding weekend experience.

This is an amazing 17,000 sq foot mansion that will blow your mind. No detail has been overlooked. It is wonderland for the young and young at heart. Perfect place for small meetings, Christmas parties, family reunions, weddings, reception etc. The entire top floor is set up like Peter Pan's Neverland!!!

I spent 3 wonderful days with some fun ladies. This place is so nice! Comfy beds in beautifully, richly decorated rooms. I had the Bishop Creek room. I woke up to views of Kachemak Bay each morning. This beautiful mansion is like no other place you will ever stay. I just can't say enough.

We’ll we showed up for our wedding that we have planned for three years! Grass was over grown, so we used the lawn mower to cut the grass, wheel bearing was shot, my best man cut the grass and we had to rake up tailing and wheel barrel it out our selfs, the grounds keeper came over and just told us to take it easy when you turning cause the wheel bearing that we already realized was blown out! He didn’t even offer to help!!! Also the pool and hot tub smelt horrible!! Four kids got staff infection from cutting there feet on a grate in the pool, along with six women that got UTI’s! Door handles were broken, the refrigerator leaked water into the kitchen the whole time we were there! We had leaking plumbing though the ceiling when one guest was showering before the wedding, it leaked right on one of our dinner tables that we had set up in the entry way for people to eat! Then had the audacity to say the master suit took extensive cleaning to get the smell of vomit out of it! That’s where my mother stayed and she doesn’t even drink! Also said the guy mowing the yard was inebriated, he just drove six hours to make it down there with his wife and two kids, took initiative and cut the grass for our special day! So they garnished my security deposit and said they had to drain the pool and hot tub cause a oily substance was in it! Malarkey, the wedding went down and was the best time of my life, I’m assuming the reason behind all the lies and false accusations is due to the fact that we had it booked years in advance and had to uphold previous reservations! Money Hungary selfish people or person! Shame on you, I’m sure you’ll come back and say I’m lying or make some poor reason to try and justify your wrong doings, just like you did for my guests reviews! Like sending a picture of the lawn mower with the tire completely off of it! I personally backed it in the garage and parked it before we left! Along with pictures of cigarette butts on the front step clearly staged photos! They also did the same thing to the wedding that was there before us, made up a bunch of lies and took there deposit as well! Could care less about the money I’ll make more it’s all about how you lied about me, my family, and friends! I’m sure the place is still booked out and your experience will way better than mine, just wanted to write an honest and...

To be clear, the house is amazing and by and large we had a great time during our week there with family. In complete fairness the house itself met or exceeded all of our expectations going into the experience.

A few days after checkout we received an egregious bill for approximately $1,000 in charges for alleged damages to the property. These charges ranged from the legitimate, if expensive ($40 for a vase one of our guests accidentally broke - which we made sure to disclose to the property manager prior to checkout), to the greatly exaggerated ($100 for not carrying the garbage to the dumpster - which we absolutely did do throughout our stay and prior to departure, but we left the few bags of recycling, or $50 for furniture that "had been moved and was not returned to its original position" - we have no idea whatsoever what they're referring to), to the just plain bizarre ($400 for missing silverware - needless to say, our group of boring well behaved stodgy middle-aged farts did not make off with (any!) of their silverware in our luggage before heading to the Homer airport to return home).

Here's the literal itemization for the "missing" silverware: "Prior to check-in, there were 30 dinner forks, 30 salad forks, 30 soup spoons and about 36 teaspoons. At check out, there is 1 dinner fork, 6 salad forks, 7 soup spoons and zero teaspoons. Individual replacement of the missing silverware would be prohibitively expensive, so we will be required to purchase a new set. Service for 24, similar to the missing items, is $396."

This has left us completely baffled.

We have made multiple attempts by phone and email to reach someone for an explanation. Complete silence. We have been ignored. After nearly two weeks of trying we have simply given up. They have our deposit and it would seem they are intent on keeping it and ignoring our request for a response and explanation for all of this nonsense.

The inexplicably bizarre list of alleged damages, the egregious charges, and the steadfast refusal to even acknowledge our communications all add up to a uniquely weird ending to what should've been a sublime family week, leaving a lingering bad taste in...
