Potentially a four star stay, don’t catch the manager on a bad day. We came for a relaxed stay and a soak, to only find upon arriving that the hot tub is located in the main parking lot, no privacy or protection from the elements, directly in front of the check in office. It was far as you could get away from our front door and still be on the property. Set up potentially for accommodating a small family as the only beds are shared downstairs in one room together, the bathroom upstairs and through the kitchen. We stayed at the property next door (baycrest lodge) one year ago, had a wonderful, memorable experience, and were under the impression by posted photos that the owners were the same. They apparently had split several years ago. We called to ask about split night/cancellation policies and were treated very rudely. Immediately she began to question my boyfriend and insist that if we were cancelling we need to tell her right now. Why? So you can clean it up and charge someone else to earn double for the night? We are currently picking up our things, and decided to stay our last night at a very welcoming inn with a private hot tub &...

I stayed in the Otter Cabin with my wife and our pet dog to get away from the busy city of Anchorage. We had a peaceful and memorable experience at Kenai Peninsula Suites and Homer, Alaska. The scenery was beautiful with views of the ocean and surrounding mountains over the horizon. The location and cabin was cool, unique, and affordable. They also gave us military or government worker discount which makes us feel more welcome during our stay. The souvenirs at the gift shop were interesting and the food in the local Homer, Alaska area was flavorful. The local coffee shops in Homer, Alaska was amazing. This is a perfect location to explore the oceanside, Homer Spit, the mountains, and nature walking trails in the Homer area. Our dog loved the area and my wife loved exploring Homer, Alaska. ||||Thank you for everything! And thank you for being...

Stayed in the Bear's Den suite (2 nights). Quiet, spacious, clean, comfortable. The view from the room and the property is quintessential Alaska. The room is equipped with toaster, kettle, Kerig style coffee maker (tea and coffee are provided), and full size fridge; place setting, glasses, mugs and wine glasses for 4. They provide towels etc for 4. Three wood chairs and 2 folding chairs provided.

It is quiet ... even with people staying in the neighboring Wolf's Den. The green space is shared, so keep that in mind if you are looking for complete privacy. Many places to see the view on the property and a bird viewing cabin on the cliff edge - very cool!

Friendly, informative staff. Excellent experience. Close to Homer. ...

Loved loved loved this place! The view was beautiful and all parts of the accommodations were amazing. If you want a place to relax during a busy trip to Alaska, this is it. The fire pit and grill were probably the best parts. We picked up oysters and fish in Homer and brought it back here to relax around the fire pit with some wine. Pretty hard to beat in my mind. The cabin (The Puffin) was huge and had all the modern bells and whistles anyone could want. Huge comfy King beds and two TVs (which we didn't get any use out of because we were too busy hanging out outside on the deck). The staff was friendly and check in was very quick. I will stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone who wants to see some incredible mountains.

Amazing place! It was very scenic and the little touches were nice. Stayed in the Wolf's Den and it was a great room. The hot tub is nice, but it had hair ties in it and leaves. Still used it, but it was less than clean. The lid to the hot tub was tied down with a ratchet strap for some reason so be prepared to fight to open the lid. There is a really nice firepit we didn't get to use, but others did and it looked awesome. Only downside was they gave us the wrong code to our room and no one is around to help you after 6pm. There is a phone number on the door to call, but it's not a quick response. Wasn't super crazy, but when you have two kids who need to pee, it's a problem.
