Wow!!!!! What an amazing experience.
We took the first vacation we've had for ourselves in years and settled on trying this place out. I feel this will become a regular thing now.
We stayed in two different cabins - first, the Salmon Berry and second, the Mt. St. Helen's.
First off, the lengths this couple goes to to ensure a warm and welcoming experience is astounding. They are so responsive and you feel the pride in the attention to detail they've made with everything they've done to property. The property is GORGEOUS - the gardens and trees and the space given to/for local wildflower and grasses are all amazing and seemlessly flow into and away from eachother. The property is in the middle of town (there's even a lovely grocery store and brewery across the road) but it does not feel like it; it's peaceful and tranquil. I even came across a couple of bunnies during our morning walks.
Service - impeccable. Once they found out that we had white water rafting scheduled in the morning, they ensured to have breakfast to-go made up for us before we left. There were even 'play' towels ready for us to use. They have a book detailing all the awesome local activities tailored to every kind of adventure one might want (we went to Zoller's due to their recommendation and do not regret it one bit!). Nearly 100% of the restaurants we went to during our stay were listed in that book too (and they were ALL 5 star experiences). At night, the pathways are all lit up for easy navigation. The beds even have a step-stool to help those vertically challenged (like myself) easy access to the beds. We got the massages and they were likewise amazing.
Salmon Berry - beautiful cabin. I loved the tub and the bed was comfy.
Mt. St. Helen's - holy wow! They did a quick turn around for our move into this cabin (and even followed up to make sure all was well). We felt on top of the world in this cabin. Spacious, beautiful, relaxing, jaw-droppingly luxurious. One of my favorite parts was spending time on the swings each cabin had.
Food - so frickin good!!!!! Our breakfast to-go sandwiches were full of flavor, protein, and textures. Having the food delivered and having breakfast outside was so nice.
I also loved seeing their flags they put up as customers came and left.
Thank you so much for making this an unforgettable experience; we can't wait for our...
Read moreWe chose an elopement package from Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins. We could not have had a better experience. We spoke to both Tracy, one of the owners, and Tabitha prior to coming. Both were extremely kind and genuinely helpful. They were so helpful when it came to arranging the ceremony, flowers and cake. It was easy, and they added so much! From sending the text of the ceremony and allowing us to add our own vows, to setting up the lodge and cake cutting in our cabin. We did not expect so much, but all that they did made our day truly special. They had many wonderful options for add-ons outside of the elopement package. We loved the flowers, chocolate, robes and cheese and crackers. They also helped to arrange a hot stone massage with John, who was awesome! We were greeted by name and with hugs when we arrived, and the stay only got better from there. The property is gorgeous and very well-maintained. We loved the area behind the cabins and cannot wait to come back in the spring or summer. There was a trail that made it easy to walk around through the field and trees. It is simply beautiful. There are no details missed here. You will find everything you need in the cabins and more. There are so many thoughtful touches, and everything is presented beautifully. This is truly unusual and definitely not easy to do! It just made our stay. The linens in the cabin were unusually beautiful, the sheets were lovely, towels were soft, literally nothing was missed. I am very picky about cleanliness and honestly could not find a thing that was not very, very clean. And, the breakfast was amazing! We loved having it delivered. The food was perfect, it was delivered hot and was more than we could eat. WE LOVED IT! With all this, Tracy, Todd and their team made our stay with their warmth and genuine desire to see that our wedding and stay was exceptional! We are so happy we chose Carson Ridge and look forward to coming back soon. We can't thank you enough for making our...
Read moreMy husband and I have “had a year” and were able to have someone watch our son for an overnight. We drove just under an hour from the Portland area and it was a gorgeous Fall Drive. I was looking for somewhere calm, quiet and felt “special”. This cabin experience did not disappoint.
When we arrived we missed the main entrance somehow and came in the “exit” which made parking and check in a little confusing. Once we walked around to the front, we were very excited about the ambiance. What a welcoming start.
We were met inside with staff having provided snacks, showing us the DVD and Book check outs and then walked us to the cabin.
The cabin was cozy, well appointed and well played out. After our trip my husband and I laughed about how a bed could be equally firm and fluffy at the same time - but it was.
*Internet in the area is not great. This made streaming on Netflix, or other streaming services, not really feasible. With that said - we weren’t there to watch electronics and it was nice to be forced to make different decisions. We could have chosen to walk to the lodge and check out a show, but we decided to play some background music on a phone and ended up playing games during our evening that were provided.
We had dinner at Backwoods Brewing across the street - it was excellent.
For Breakfast we opted to eat in the lodge and it was wonderful. Great coffee, great service and I was thrilled with the dietary accommodations. We had a fruit cup with delicious yogurt, some of the best scones (gluten free!) I’ve ever had and a delicious gluten free sour dough egg scramble bake dish. My husband (who is not gluten free) shared the same breakfast with me and was equally as delighted. Portions were also wonderful for both of us which is good to note.
We left shortly after breakfast (sadly) and wish we could have more time - especially to explore the grounds and relax. We will absolutely keep this on our list of...
