Beautiful and unique park with 20 campsites that offer a rustic experience surrounded by stunning desert landscapes. We enjoyed hiking, birdwatching, stargazing, and learning about the area's rich cultural history through the interpretive programs. We couldn't book online and had to reserve by phone—but we're so glad we did! This place is absolutely worth it.

The best campground we have ever been. The campsite are awesome, there is water and water right on the site, it is quiet, clean, with incredible views. We even saw goats on the rock one night. Bathroom is heaven. Clean, shower is hot, the bathroom is even heated. Beware of wildlife at night there is a lot of rabbits and javelinas on the road.

I've stayed at state parks all over Texas and this has to be the best one. Once I backed into our spot I felt like I had a lot of privacy and tons of shade. My site was near the bathrooms, so that was nice. The amount of toilets/shower to campers seems low but it was never a problem. Overall 👍👍

Beautiful features! So many amazing climbs and historic paintings right next to each other! The campsite is very well kept, some of the nicest bathrooms I've seen camping. Kinda sucks campfires aren't allowed, but it makes sense with all the dry brush around, just had to layer up by 7 being there in the winter. Make sure to get there before 6 to check in even with a reservation, the road gets locked up. There is a super cool Crash Pad Rental place just outside the park. Stop in, even just for some coffee if you don't need any gear, the guy working there was super cool, gave great tips, also offers some camp sites if the park ever fills up, it's only 8 minutes from Trail heads to get into the park and get climbing. Be mindful! The park has a lot of rules and you can tell people still leave trash and...

I think gps was playing games with me during and after a long drive. Why do the location it just brought me to didn’t show up when trying to tell the owner here where it took me but showed everything else previous to this particular stop? Why did my Google gps take me around the block in a town I’ve never been to on my previous stop? Be careful with this app! I see why people may drive where they shouldn’t and then look as if something is wrong with the person…Get it together Google, you had me calibrate before...

Do not visit if you don't have a reservation, No exceptions. I traveled all United States, and this is the first state park that turned me away even though they had only two people staying there at that time. Also, the people working there do not seem to appreciate their job as other park employees do. As a last resort, I had to stay at the Climbing camp down the street. Which would be ok if you're in a car or RV, which only has...
