Long Island Lake Resort — Hotel in Hot Springs

My family has a family reunion every 2 years with relatives traveling from Austin, Dallas, St.Louis, and the Memphis areas not to mention a few other states. LONG Island Lake Resort offered reasonable rates, friendly and courteous staff, clean facilities that are located within feet of Lake Hamilton! The rooms were nicely decorated and had comfortable beds with more than enough pillows not to mention extra pillows, sheets, and blankets in the closet if needed. The kitchenette had everything we needed to cook a meal as if we were in the comforts of our own home from pots and pans, can opener, all ur basic dinner dishes and utensils, ect ! Balcony had a table, chairs and an ashtray to be able to sit and take in the beautiful view of the lake and they also provided all the ice we needed all weekend long for free with their industrial size ice maker. The only reason I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5 is because #1 I really wish they wouldve had a pool because I'm petrified to swim in anything other than a swimming pool as is a few of my other family members and we would've enjoyed being able to swim also, #2 I wish they would've had phones in each room, that would've been very convenient for us to call one another when we needed and #3 the Wi-Fi there was really really bad! Those 3 things are my only dislikes but in my opinion those things are not worth staying someplace else. Our family will most definitely be back in 2 years. We visit Hot Springs every year. We have tested a few new places looking for one just right for our family since my kids are now teenagers and need a bit more space. I am happy to say we found it here and will be returning. It is a perfect mix of modern amenities anyone expects along with the charm of a perfectly hidden gem full of hospitality and kindness. They were very accommodating and went out of their way to meet our needs. We travel a lot and sometimes it's the simplest things that make a stay worth it. This place had them all. In fact, my husband and I had our morning coffee on the patio overlooking the lake and planned our next visit here in just a couple of months. We are an hour away from the Branson area but will happily make the five hour drive just to stay here over Tablerock Lake. Oh yes, and how can I forget, we had the best sleep here and managed to sleep in until 9 am!!! We typically get up at 4 am to go to work so this was amazing!! Thank you to the property personnel and management for a truly wonderful stay. You feel more like family here...

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary over Labor Day weekend. This is an older property but very clean. The only thing I think that could improve this property would be to add another entrance area for the rooms closer on the ends instead of just the one central stairway. We stayed in B8, which was on the top corner. All of the rooms have a beautiful view of the lake. The back balcony facing the lake is not private, per say, but being on the end really helped give us the privacy we wanted. The room has a nice little kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is smaller but that was not a big deal for us. It was clean and that's what mattered. The property has a nice dock that my husband and I enjoyed our evenings relaxing on. The location of this property is pretty perfect! Close to the water and not too far from everything else.
