Hochabel Hotel — Hotel in Idabel

Good clean basic room. A/C was great. Women should be careful with the gaps in the blinds. Thought it was a little pricey for what you got, but I am used to casino hotels. I was disappointed in their quest to stay afloat they allowed construction crews to rent one side. When you pull in you just see around 20 guys sitting around outside drinking, if I was a woman it would deter me from staying. The restaurant is a different story completely. Ate there once and never again. I ordered a Caesar salad, by mistake. They cut iceberg to resemble Romain, ate a few bites before I realized it, I can’t have iceberg. Made for a long night. Asked for a grilled cheese, they upgraded the cost a few dollars from the children’s menu and it was the same order. Very pricey. Would do them well to not try to do upscale and turn it into an old time cafe. Perfect location for farmers...

We came down to view the eclipse and of course every room for 100 miles was booked. We were lucky enough to find the one cancellation in the area at the Hochabel Hotel.

The 2am call was answered by a very pleasant woman who said we lucked into the one and only room available. The front desk was closed for the night but they left us a key in the lockbox and said to just come settle up in the morning.

Expectations were not high but we were pleasantly surprised by an immaculate room, wonderful restaurant in the courtyard for breakfast and everyone working here has been incredible sweet and helpful. We could not recommend the place...

The rooms were excellent! The restaurant has an incredible menu and was delicious. But let me tell you what set them apart from ANY other place I have ever stayed (which has been a lot) I felt like the room was a little expensive and was talking with a guy working on some furniture on the patio. He was a retired Coach. Wonderful conversation about sports. I told him our baseball team was playing in town in the afternoon. Coach came to the ball field and found me. I was shocked when he gave me a number to call so they could adjust my room rate. Have you EVER heard of customer support like that? It was a first for me. I highly...
