Room 115
Pros: Great for a 1 night stay (which we did) but I suggest not staying longer then that, might be best to stay in Broken Bow (it's about 15mins away and has more food options). Free Breakfast selection was good.
Cons: Customer service was ok, the lady at the front desk was sitting outside on a smoke break when we walked in. Also the overnight front desk person was dozing off. I don't know why they allowed dogs (non service animal) to be in the hotel. I could hear him whimpering all night (rm 111) and was aggressively barking while in the hallway. I did tell the front desk person after he woke up from his nap. And which he responded "okay" and proceeded to let them that there was a complaint about the dog, The owner said, "Oh he just barked about 20 minutes ago, sorry" (Yes the walls are that thin), also I could hear the owners giving the dog a command(s) and telling him "no". The next morning the owner filled up the dog's water bowl at the ice machine 🤢 At night there is a horrible smell that wreaks and is almost breathtaking outside around that area, but however, less than a half a mile down the road there is another newer hotel, with restaurant, that did not smell that way (I ordered a burger from said restaurant and it was good) The room we stayed in was okay as far as hotel rooms go, although: the shower head was rusted out, The fresh caulking around the tub was botched, the blow dryer mount was not secured to the wall, The metal tissue box that sat next to the sink was rusted out, You can tell they spray painted over the current rust on the faucet, The sink drain was rusted out as well, also the porcelain sink had many cracks in it, you could hear the toilet bowl handle smacking against the top of the tank lid loudly every time it was being used, only one of the power plugs worked that sat between the beds (would not hold the plug 🔌), so we charged our devices using the one lamp, and mini power strip, and the microwave (Yes there were two USB and a 120v power plugs on the microwave) I wish there was a light for the closet. And that the walls were clean (on possible high touch areas), one wall that was next to the bed I slept at had a dry booger on it. 🤮 Seems like they are still renovating, half of the outside of the hotel look like I had just been painted because there was a crane out front and majority of the windows were still...
Read moreThis is a small hotel befitting the small town of Idabel. Food options nearby include a Mexican restaurant, an Italian restaurant, and a McDonald's. The hotel itself was nice and clean and featured the typical hotel amenities, including a pool and hot tub in the back (closed due to the season). Free coffee and black tea were available to all guests in both the rooms and the lobby at all hours; water with lemon and green tea could also be found in the lobby. The staff seemed friendly and helpful, though my interaction with workers was limited. The room was comfortable, outfitted with a small flat screen tv, a fridge, a blow dryer, a small machine for brewing the coffee or heating water for tea, a microwave, and small, flexible reading lights for each bed located beneath the main lamps. While the room featured a variety of outlets for any devices which a guest may have (found at the bottom of a lamp on the table as well as next to it and featuring AC and USB ports), there was an issue with outlet space for the items already in the room; specifically, the microwave, fridge, and tv could not be plugged in at the same time due to the shape of the plugs. Additionally, the room was not very well lit unless all three lamps were on. The provided breakfast was rather average in taste but offered a variety of breads, cereals, yogurts, and drinks as well as some fruits. The eggs, though, were lacking in flavor, and ham was the only breakfast meat to be found. In summary, the stay at the Comfort Suites in Idabel was nice. Everything was clean and the location was near to my destination of Beaver's Bend and several casual dinner options. Plenty of complementary services were offered to the guests, though it was impossible to simultaneously take advantage of the tv, microwave, and refrigerator. Aside from this, a limited selection of breakfast meats, and somewhat poor lighting in the rooms, my stay at this Comfort Suites was comfortable...
Read moreThe beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Appeared remodeled. The shower had good pressure & plenty of hot water. If you are going to Beavers bend/Broken bow lake area it is about a 20 minute drive. Plenty of places to eat nearby. However, Upon arrival there was only 1 person on a Friday during Fall break to check people in. 2 people during this time would have been helpful. I explained to the nice young girl that I had pre-paid but I would leave my credit card for incidentals as normal. Well come to find out on Saturday they had charged my card for over $200 for the stay that I had pre paid for. I went and spoke with her about this Saturday night and she said she was sorry she remembered checking me in and accidently posted my card to the wrong page (?) she would call her manager and get it taken care of. later she called my room and told me for my troubles they would give me a $20 credit for the marketplace. I went down to check out Sunday explained the mix up to the guy and said I was to have a $20 credit in the marketplace & I would like 2 waters and 2 Dr. Peppers $5. He said ok I hope I did this right. Tuesday my money still had not been released I called they faxed my bank they said. here it is Wednesday and the $208 has been put back on credit card but they charged me the $5 for marketplace drinks. Everyone was very nice there so I hate to complain but I would say a little update to front desk on procedures...
