We’ve stayed at Calm Waters for a couple of nights several times over the years but this was our first time to visit for a full week. We had the best time and never ran out of things to do between the dock, the boats and the pool. It’s so close to Silver Dollar City and White Water and only a short drive into Branson.
Calm Waters is the only place we will stay on Table Rock Lake. We love the swimming dock that sits in a little cove. The kids had hours of fun jumping off the dock and using the kayaks and paddle boards. Kayaks and paddle boards are free to use anytime. We were just there in the middle of July, the busiest month, and we never had any trouble getting a kayak to use. There’s also a canoe and row boat that my parents enjoyed using. Our dog loved being at the lake too although she’s not a fan of swimming. The kids also had so much fun at the pool, especially on the water slide. I don’t think we will ever stay for just a night or two again. It was so relaxing to be there for a week.
We rented the pontoon boat for 4 hours one day. The kids had an absolute blast tubing. We had some little kids who liked the tube they could sit inside and some older kids who liked the other tube that they could lie down on. It was so easy! Gavin and Chris got the boat ready for us down at the dock and we left from there. They helped with trading the tubes out and everyone had a great time. Next time we might have to rent it for a couple of days because the kids couldn’t get enough.
Chris also does guided tours or fishing tours. We didn’t do that this trip but this morning as we were heading down to the dock a group was just getting back from a fishing tour. They brought home a walleye and said they caught about 30 other fish that they tossed back.
We also didn’t go to Silver Dollar City this trip but we have during past trips and Calm Waters is a great location for visiting SDC. It’s about a 5 minute drive away.
The cabins were so clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We ate most meals at the pavilion by the pool which had enough tables for everyone in our group of 5 families. We used the grill couple of nights so that was really nice to have too.
Chris and Belinda are the best hosts. They’re the kind of hosts who become your friends. We love staying with them at Calm Waters and we are already looking forward to our next trip. 5 stars. A+ Highly...
Read moreIf you're looking for a secluded place to stay right on the lake look no further. It has a really cute community area with covered seating and benches. Just by that is the bonfire area. It also has an in ground pool. But the thing that sold us was the location. The lake was right down the hill from our rental. We loved the complimentary kayaks and floats. And we really enjoyed the swings on the docks at night. We stayed in an A-frame with a queen bed and pool out couch. The room was very clean. But i wished there was better lighting for getting ready in the bathroom. And i really was surprised to find there were no power outlets near mirrors for styling your hair. For me that's not a huge issue but some women really need their hot tools. Also if you have back issues be prepared for a very firm mattress. (Not necessarily in a good way) There is a small dresser but no full length hanging storage. There was low hanging clothes storage in the bathroom though. It comes with a small dorm fridge and a 2 burner range top. So if you're planning to stock up to cook there, keep that in mind. It does come with a small coffee pot. But if you can't live without your morning cup of joe you'll need to bring your own coffee grounds. All in all if you want a no fuss outdoor focused stay this is it. And as a bonus it's pet...
Read moreWe rented 3 separate A-frame cabins for the Wife and me and your 2 kids with grand kids ranging from 3-17. Cabins were clean and easy access upon arrival. Great location with plenty to do on site with the swimming dock, pool, lake, kayaks, paddle boards, pavilion, fire pit, etc. We rented a golf cart to shuttle back and forth, which was great. If you are nautically inclined, I highly recommend a pontoon boat rental and a stop at the floating cafe for lunch in the middle of the day. Your hosts Belinda, Chris and their Staff are the best! So close to all the Branson attractions, Silver Dollar City, etc but a nice and quiet place to come back to and relax. West Branson is close (4miles) and has all the amenities for groceries, Walmart, Dollar General, etc. The general store at the corner where you turn to come down to the resort has some killer pizza. Come and enjoy. Highly...
