A very family friendly resort! Check in was relatively easy. Downside to the check in process is the concierge booth where we were sent for a map and directions to our rooms. The real purpose of the booth is to solicit reservations for a 20 minute sales pitch to purchase a membership for the property. The concierge said they are not a time share. I think it’s probably splitting hairs. I was not interested in a pressure sale and stated so to the concierge. We paid premium full fare for the stay and wanted to be left alone to enjoy what we paid for. Having said that, if there had been free nights that were offered at the point of reservation in exchange for going to see their sales pitch, I think that would’ve been fair. We rented 2 luxury condos for the week for our family. They were both spacious, clean, and well equipped and next to the other. Beds were comfortable. Master bath in both suits came with a huge jacuzzi tub. One condo smelled unused and musty on arrival. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch balconies in the mornings and watching the lake while waking up. Each bedroom had bathroom and television. The kitchen, dining room and living great area was comfortably large enough for us to gather as a family. The airconditioner worked great! The furniture was comfortable. The pools were clean and while the water was colder than we like, the kids enjoyed the water slides. We would have liked for the pools to be larger and warmer. The last day the largest pool was really busy and a lot of the adults were drinking beer in cans covered by cozies, and gathering in groups in the water making it difficult to navigate without having to circumvent the group. We would have preferred the absence of alcohol at the pool, as there were so many people, especially children. The hot tub in the big pool is very large and welcoming, especially after the COLD pool water, Maybe spring fed? We really enjoyed the lake and the included amenities. The lake water in the swimming area was warmer than the pools! The marina offerings were abundant and the attendants were professional and pleasant. They really hustled to take care of the guests. Both condos came with a full kitchen and we cooked our own meals as a family and enjoyed not having to go out to eat, which was more convenient and less stressful than getting all our little ones out to a restaurant. We never tried any of the onsite restaurants, but the pizza smelled wonderful! There is a very basic convenience store onsite. Everything was open and working. Did not go into the game room. Putt putt golf course was fun. Parking was plentiful and we were always able to park near our condos even though the resort appeared to be full. It is a relatively short ride into to Branson where we enjoyed offsite activities. The resort was staffed really well and it was nice to see the cleaning and maintenance crews actively working each day to keep the property nice, clean and ready for guests. I appreciated the company culture of customer service that is evident there. This was important to see because the prices the resort charged for our two condos was premium. I could have rented a very nice single home large enough for our group of 12 for the price of one condo, but without the added amenities. So it was very important to see value for money. Having said that, I feel the cost exceeded value to some degree. The resort does not offer daily room service, which should be offered at the price they charge. We had to take our trash to the dumpsters (convenient to the condo) and if we needed new bath and bed linens, we had to turn the soiled ones in at the laundry for new ones. The building we stayed in didn’t offer an elevator, which should be installed. To be fair, we were aware the building did not have an elevator at the time of reservation and agreed to that in advance. It was an older building, but in good repair with the exception of an elevator. All in all our family had a very positive experience at Still Water Resorts and we would recommend and hope to...

UPDATE: this resort attempted to gaslight me in their response. If you would like to see my full response to this gaslighting, please read my review on their FB page. This is a prime example of why you should choose another hotel for your Branson vacation. Instead of taking responsibility and fixing the problem, they tried to make themselves the victims. If they are claiming that our doctor and pest control verified bed bug bites are lies and did not come from their resort, then they most likely did not fix the problem. I wouldn’t wish bed bugs on anyone (except maybe whoever from still waters responded to this review) so please, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. I'm filing complaints with the health department, state of MO and BBB in hopes this doesn’t happen to someone else.
Oh Still Waters, how we have wanted to love you since our first stay in 2018. But you have let us down time and time again, but this last trip is when we had to finally say “it’s over”.
This trip our room was “extra” more dirty than usual. I even let the resort know it was so gross that I wasn’t letting my kids play on the floor because the carpet was so grimy (I have come to expect this so I bring an extra blanket from home to put on the carpet) Just read the other reviews and you will get a good idea of what to expect (yuck!) The resort did not respond to my complaint or do anything about it. We had already decided after the first night of our trip, that we were not going to stay here ever again. But then it got worse.
My sister in law, who was staying in our unit with us, woke up the first morning with some itchy bug bites on her body. She had slept on the pullout couch bed. We initially wrote it off thinking she must have been bit by some random mosquito or something. But the 2nd morning she woke up with even more bites and was super itchy. She couldn’t stop scratching. We left after the 2nd night and she went home and immediately went to the doctor. The Dr told her that she had bed bug bites and some were infected. She is currently on antibiotics - and then ALL of us had to have our homes and vehicles exterminated. We had to wash or throw away all clothing/linens. It has been an absolute nightmare.
I called and let Still Waters know about the bed bugs immediately. They said that they would call me back the following day. It’s now 4 days later and I fear I’ve been ghosted. My biggest fear is that someone else will stay in the room we stayed in and also get bed bugs just because the resort doesn’t want to treat the problem.
If you are wondering why we have stayed here so much over the years despite how gross the rooms are, it’s because the amenities are fantastic. We love the pools, food trucks, marina etc. We told ourselves that we were just sleeping in the rooms so we could deal with the gross, But this was all just too much.
We were told by the Dr to notify the health department, so I will be doing that. Maybe they can hold the resort more accountable? I’m not sure how that works.
If you are staying in building E, directly across from the playground, please check your rooms for bugs. You DO NOT want to go through what we just went through. I wouldn’t recommend this resort to my worst enemy. Instead, I recommend you stay at Stonebridge . These are VRBOs, but they are all SO clean and much cheaper in the summer than Still Waters.
So with that all said, we just booked a week at Disney this summer. The price for an entire week at Disney, with park tickets, food and our flights was CHEAPER than a week at Still waters in the summer. I say this just so you know that you CAN do better than this resort and pay less.
Still Waters - we are breaking up. We can’t go on like this. It’s definitely you and not me.
Please do better for your future guests. Clean your rooms, update them (tear out that nasty carpet) and GET RID OF THE BED BUGS!!! Don’t let anyone stay in building E until it’s...
Read moreFor us, this location was ideal for our vacation, with a focus on outdoor activities and a trip to Silver Dollar City. The resort is in Indian Point, just south of Branson West and only a 20 minute drive to the strip.
Our family enjoyed all three pools, with hot tubs and water slides at two of them, as well as the lake activities. The resort also offered activities for the littles: arts and crafts activities and a movie night.
The lake activities were fun and the non-motorized activities are included. Paddle boards, kayaks, water bikes, lounging mats, cane fishing poles and life jackets were available for resort visitors.
The two bedroom was dated but spacious. We had plenty of room to unwind after our daily adventures. We found our accommodations to be neat and clean. The bare necessities were provided and the kitchen was adequately stocked. Pack paper towels for the kitchen and consider a pack of toilet paper.
The resort offers free shuttle service to SDC and the service was commendable. We were picked up and dropped off at our building, and the drop-off/pickup location at the park is right by the front entrance.
Food options are available as there is a food truck lot at the resort entrance and a neat hangout with food trailers inside the resort. There’s also a small “store” on the property where you can buy basic necessities, as well as pizza and salads. The food is good, but keep in mind you’ll be paying food truck prices which will zap your food budget quickly.
They will offer you the opportunity to become a member of the resort, but they are extremely polite and not overbearing. They do offer some really good deals for those willing to attend a presentation, but you do you.
Overall, a great experience and a lot of wonderful memories were made. We loved it and we will return.
Before leaving the resort, I stopped by the office to ask a few questions that came to mind after we decided to purchase there, buying 105,000 points annually for just under $30k. I spoke with Jen, who handles reservations for the “members.” One of the questions I asked was if the points roll over….they don’t. I could live with that.
I next asked about the sleeping arrangements in a one bedroom and after confirming it would accommodate us, I wished to confirm that 10,000 points would cover a night, and make reservations for June, 2025. It was then that I learned that I was signed up for a program in the “off seasons” and for me to use our points for the week I wanted would require “considerably more” points to be used. I was then told the I wouldn’t be able to make a reservation anyway, as member rooms are booked about 15 months in advance.
I’m a nutshell, I trusted but didn’t verify. Lucky for me I had a piece of blank paper and a pen and I swiftly wrote a cancellation letter and hand delivered it before leaving.
While I’m on the hook for the almost $900 “processing fee” (that’s another matter), that’s the cross I bear for trusting and not reading the paperwork. I write this in hopes of saving at least one family from being victimized by the time share industry. They say they’re different, but they’re not. They’ll welcome you to the “family”; turns out it’s more like a Mob family than the Ozark family it...
