Fantasy Springs Resort Casino — Hotel in Indio

Well first of all, I have no complaints of the hotel. I would refer my friends and family to use their players card to receive special offers from fantasy springs. My daughter's and I had a great experience with the hotel services.||||I am concerned about the casinos Public Safety Officers. I was a regular patron approximately 7 years ago. I definitely was a regular patron and was always respected by everyone. Unfortunately my spouse was stereotyped and was asked to leave because he left his wallet at home. He was informed not to return back within one day. At the time we didn't realize the importance of following through with what was asked of us. We thought nothing of it. We returned back the next day and to our surprise he was confronted by the Sheriff's and was arrested taken to jail, with no questions asked. He was then told he was banned from Fantasy Springs Casino for life. I understand that every company has an sop that they have to follow. I've been in management for many years. I understand we all must follow rules. I think that the treatment he received without no question was very harsh and it was a simple case of miscommunication. Since that following day when he was arrested with no questions asked I decided to just not ever go to Fantasy Springs again. Again they miscommunication with that was that he had no idea initially. The following day he had proper identification and with no questions asked was arrested and thrown in jail. I feel that was a harsh experience especially that I've been going there for years. Approximately 7 years has passed and he has attempted to contact Security Management. We have called on numerous occasions and left our phone number, we have emailed and asked for someone to please review the situation. I have personally went in and left my information at the security desk for management/gaming to please call me. ||My daughter and I decided to visit Fantasy Springs recently. We were enjoying our day and having such a great time. When all of a sudden, I was approached by a security guard who has been employed there for approximately 11 years. I clearly remember her face from many years ago. I never had any problems in the past was her or any of the security staff. She then pulled me aside as my daughter watched and dismay. She then treated me as if I was a criminal. She said to me in a statement, "; I know you! Haven't you been banned from here before?" I looked at my daughter, as she was wondering what the heck is going on! I then explained to my daughter it's okay I've never been down from this place or any other place. I looked at the security guard and I said to her you know me and you can't put my face to the place. I have never been down from here and how you approach me is very unprofessional. She had three other female security guards surrounding me hovering over her. I then told her she was wrong and she had no right to treat me as she did or am to body else for that be matter. My daughter was so upset and said, "Mom why is this happening?" The security guard I hadn't seen me and a few years. She knew my face and assumed I was banned from there because she didn't realize I just hadn't been there in several years. She confirmed that she was wrong and my daughter and I left very upset and she ruined our day. I am still concerned that nobody has called my husband back in regards to the incident that happened approximately 7 years ago with him not having proper ID and the miscommunication that followed with that. I would like this review to reflect that Fantasy Springs Casino as a whole is an AWESOME Casino. On the other hand ,Public Safety is there to protect and ensure we're safe. EDITED June 12 2025 My girlfriend and I saw the Jason Bonham Led Zeppelin Experience here a couple weeks ago. We had a very good time! There was extremely little pot smoke and the seating has been upgraded. The attendants were professional and parking was adequate; although I don't know why they don't simply pave the gravel lots as there are plenty of patrons to cover the cost.

Prices for drinks were not outrageous; we felt safe going to and from our car; everything about our experience was comfortable and relaxing.

I did not stay in the rooms or eat here. I've been thinking about how to write this review for a couple weeks. I want to be fair, but to be honest, one star is appropriate given my experience.

I went to the Jason Bonham Led Zeppelin Experience on Friday, September 29, 2023. To begin with, I got the tickets, one of which was a Premium ticket and was supposed to be picked up at Will Call the night of the concert, according to the first email. I got the ticket in a second email, which did not mention anything about Will Call or not, and then tried to call the Box Office to verify if I needed to make the 40 minute round trip to pick it up, or if I could just use my phone to display the QR code at the gate. No answer, after I called three times and spent 15 minutes on the phone, well before closing time on a weekday. Plenty of ads for shows, but no answer. So I drove from Cat City to FS. As I went through the casino to find the BO, I asked a casino worker at a desk for directions to the BO. She was chewing and popping gum and treated me and my question as if I was unimportant and she was very bored. I made my way to the BO, and was told, "You opened it on your phone, no need to pick these up." I wasted well over an hour on this trip alone. At the concert, my seat was in the front-left section, very near the exclusive front-center section. There were plenty of staff and security. However, there was enough pot smoke and vaping to drive me initially to the back of the space, but I just got disgusted and went home. The security people - one of which was sitting literally three feet away from the vaper, who was two seats to my right - did absolutely nothing about either the vaping or the pot. I am not a prude - I used to party too - but in an enclosed, indoor space, California permissiveness or not, I don't agree with and do not appreciate FS's lack of enforcement. If someone drinks, it does not affect anyone else; however, pot affects everyone around the smoker, including those who are choosing not to indulge. The only people that acted appropriately in a casino environment were the ushers who led people to their seats- they were friendly, funny, and obviously wanted to do a good job. Fantasy Springs is a good casino. You might ask why 3-stars overall? A few items come to mind.

Let's start from the drive onto property. Upon entering the outside parking area, you are greeted with a deteriorating parking lot. While spaces are plentiful, there are some that are treacherous to ankles and high-heels. In the 10+ years I have visited FS, I have never seen the parking lot with fresh, leveled, and smooth asphalt. UPDATE: 4/2025 Still a DETERIORATING parking lot

There is a parking deck that is well maintained but then you have to walk a good length to get to the casino.

Also, when the rains downpour, you could possibly get stuck in the parking area because the exits out will flood to standard car door height. UPDATE: last major downpour 2 cars stalled and flooded on property

I saw remanants of the flooding today with mud puddles along the road in to property.

Now that you've parked and you walk into the casino, you're greeted by the electronic beeps and buzzes of the casino floor.

The games are a decent mixture of old and new but even the new games are starting to get long in the tooth. Payback percentages 'feel' tight and be weary of the casino tightening them further if the game is found to be paying back too much. ex: in the hallway as you're heading to the bingo hall, there is a game with a giant panda.. that game used to hit bonuses quite often at max bet. now you're lucky to get one bonus at max bet and the payback will be excruciating slim.

Now say you need to use the facilities. FS remodeled the bathrooms many moons ago, i do recall. it's time for another. More often than not, the restrooms have toilet paper thrown on the ground. Residue on the seats. Go to wash your hands, you'll notice the grayish slime on the rim of the sink. Very rarely do i see a restroom attendant taking care of these problems.

Time for a drink and dinner. The restaurant facilities are better than average with a good mixture of plates. If you're having Asian @ Joy, make sure to make a reservation EARLY IN THE DAY. Also, if you want something to go from Joy, you have to order it before 5pm.

All the bars are well stocked and the bartenders/servers deserve a tip.

The players club desk is well staffed and they are quite friendly.

As far as the wandering slot attendants, they could use some social skills in customer service. Engaging a customer would go a long way in changing the atmosphere.

Finally, the guys and girls behind the cash cage are friendly and there to help.

Overall, I like FS. It's my opinion they need to fix some cosmetic and personnel issues which would assuredly take it from...
