I recently had the pleasure of spending a night at Hacienda Tamarindo in Vieques, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcomed and at home. The check-in process was seamless, and the front desk team provided a warm and informative introduction to the property and the island.

The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated with charming island-themed decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. One of the highlights was the stunning view from my window, overlooking the lush gardens and the sparkling Caribbean Sea in the distance.

The hotel's amenities were top-notch. I enjoyed a refreshing dip in the beautiful pool, surrounded by palm trees and tropical flowers. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was delightful, with a variety of fresh fruits, smoothies, and local specialties of hash browns that set the perfect tone for the day.

What truly sets Hacienda Tamarindo apart is its unique ambiance and the sense of tranquility that permeates the property. It's clear that great care has been taken to preserve the natural beauty of the surroundings while providing modern comforts.

The location is also ideal, offering easy access to some of the best beaches and attractions in Vieques. The staff was incredibly helpful in suggesting activities and providing directions, making it easy to explore the island even with a limited timeframe.

Overall, my stay at Hacienda Tamarindo exceeded all expectations. It's a hidden gem in Vieques, perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful and luxurious retreat. I can't wait to return for a longer stay and fully immerse myself in this...

If you're going to Vieques and on the fence about staying here, don't be. This is a "wow" kind of place for an off-the-beaten-path experience. You will not regret this location with its beautiful architecture, friendly staff, not too big or small size, and terrific amenities. Breakfast to order with a featured special each day. To-go lunch, snorkeling gear, sundries (sunblock, etc), and self-serve libations are available. The location is quite close to the black sand beach, the tiny town of Esperanza with a handful of eateries, Esperanza beach, and the bioluminescent lagoon. I rented a car to get around the island, the large town where the ferries dock is about 15 minutes away. Be aware that roads are narrow, road conditions vary a lot, and there are 3,000 wild horses roaming the island. We stayed in a suite, and it was breathtaking, comfortable, and housekeeping was fantastic. For technology, we had good cell service, the hotel has decent WiFi, and there are NO TVs (and that is a plus to me). I am into astronomy and travel with a small telescope that can take long exposures. The location on the Caribbean shore provides ideal viewing with dark skies and no light pollution. I was able to take nice shots of the Eta Carina nebula and the M100 spiral galaxy with my traveling amateur gear. Kayaking in the bioluminescent lagoon is high on the "must do" list of activities. We were graced with an amazing view of a cross-the-sky shooting star from our kayaks in the glowing waters. Our best snorkeling was at Playa Punta Arenas where my son saw a manta ray and two...

We stayed in the Caribbean Deluxe Suite which had a king bed, two full bathrooms, a seating area with a pull-out sofa and an ocean-facing balcony with a table and chairs. Incredible views of the sea with hummingbirds, Caribbean sphinx moth caterpillars (a very special sight!) and other little friends in the vibrant foliage surrounding the balcony. The suite was clean and spacious, and the AC kept us cool and comfortable. We appreciated daily housekeeping which isn’t always offered at smaller boutique-style inns.||Deliciously fresh breakfast is available every morning and served in the open air restaurant next to the Tamarindo tree. Strong coffee, tea, juices, eggs your way (including omelets), potatoes & toast were staples with different daily specials such as a smoothies or pancakes.||Much consideration given to the guest experience with 24 hr access to an honor bar consisting of water, soft drinks, alcohol/mixers, ice and snacks - basically a mini convenience store within steps of your room. Books and board games from the library are free to use during your stay and beach equipment is available for rent.||Perfect location - the right amount of seclusion with Esperanza restaurants and shops just a short drive down the hill.||Last but certainly not least, the pool! Gaze at the turquoise sea and fields of wild horses from your lounge chair, take a dip in the clear refreshing water or nap on a shaded hammock. ||We thoroughly enjoyed Hacienda Tamarindo and will definitely stay here again during our next...

If you are planning to visit Vieques island, without a second thought please reserve a room here. To start off, the hotel is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff is fantastic and always ready to help. They offer breakfast(included in booking) which tastes great and includes fresh fruits and juices from their backyard. You get to have your breakfast under the beautiful and huge tamarind tree. The ocean view from the hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, they have indoor swimming pool, library, bar, and lots of wild horses to stare at(feed them some fruits if you have, the horses mind their own business so don’t worry about it). The hotel is also very close to couple of peaceful beaches like sunbay beach, Caracas beach and black sand beach. This place is also very near to bio bay tour pick up so that’s a bonus. There is a bunch of walkable restaurants too. I loved this place and if I ever come back then I will be booking my stay with them. Attached a couple of my pictures from the stay and I hope this review helps you:)
