Overpriced. In a mostly empty hotel I was placed in the far end of the top floor. At midnight, a phone that barely rings had a voice I could hardly hear. My neighbor was complaining about my TV. Neighbor? There were 5 cars total in the lot. David at the desk put me next to the one other guest, whom the voice told me they have threatened to evict because he complains about every little thing. She even noted she could barely hear my TV at my door. Why then put your one other guest right next to him? Because Best Western Plus, I have found, is not customer-focused or well managed. There are friendlier places for way less money. Of note, I sat in the parking lot of another hotel and debated giving Best Western Plus one more try. No good deed goes unpunished. It's mostly clean, but I have serious concerns about the way they are run since adding the Plus series. Spend your money else where.

Our King bedroom was spacious, clean, and well-lit. The bed was decent, a bit on the firm side. The pillows and sheets were very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious compared to other hotel bathrooms in this price point. The shower had adequate water pressure, and the hot water was nearly instant. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast offerings were decent considering the circumstances surrounding COVID. All the food was either individually packaged or isolated from the elements. For instance, frozen/thawed waffles were available to be toasted with individual packages of butter and syrup. Other offerings included muffins, toast, granola bars, instant oatmeal, pre-packaged cereal, milk, and yogurt. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We're traveling from Big Sky Montana to make our way over to Florida then to New Orleans then back to Montana, this was Just a quick stop for the night. There was a Tornado 🌪️ watch for the night we stayed but hey we survived lol .The prices were reasonable and our room was nice. Back on the roads we go!

I actually had a pretty decent experience here… until it came time to check out. More —

Check out is at 11 and I requested an extra 15 minutes or so to get my stuff together and get out the door. The woman at the front desk checked with her manager and they said “ok”.

Me asking for the extra time was just me trying to be polite. As a CLC customer, I get a 24 hour stay at Check-Inn certified hotels (this is one of those hotels). Considering that I hadn’t checked in until 9pm the night before, I certainly had plenty of time. I just wanted them to let the housekeeping staff know that the room wouldn’t be empty at 11 more than anything.

I am about 3 minutes from being out the door when 11:15 hits and I get a call. I am told that if I am not out of the room by 11:30, they are going to charge me for another night. My response to this is “Thank you for letting me know, I will be sure to not stay here again”.

I am in a different hotel 5 days a week for 2-3 weeks every month. I have been for almost 4 years. I have NEVER had a hotel staff member threaten to charge me more money like that.

I called CLC to verify that this was a hotel that is contractually obligated to give a 24 hour stay and they confirmed it. After I got everything loaded up into my car I walked back inside and spoke with the manager and the employee about what they had said. I asked the manager a few questions to make sure that I had understood what they had told me correctly. The manager confirmed that, yes, I understood correctly. They would (try to) charge me if I was there past 11:30-11:45 (got a new timeframe from the manager this time but 15 minutes longer doesn’t change anything).

I told the manager that they might want to check their contract with CLC and before I could even finish my sentence, she interrupted me AND TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS AWARE OF THE 24 HOUR STAY POLICY. So, you’re aware and you just blatantly violate the agreement?? Wonderful.

Honestly not a bad hotel at all. But I will never be back after...

We had a one night reservation this past Saturday night. Coming in from Fargo North Dakota flying into Cape Girardeau, our flights got delayed that very morning. Our flights were now going to get in much later than the business that we were meeting with and they were also not going to be open the next day on Sunday so we had to pause our flights. When we called the hotel that morning, after learning of our delayed flights, the hotel receptionist at this very location said that we would need a 24 hour cancellation notice in order to get a refund. I could not give this hotel a 24 hour notice, as the airline didn’t give us a 24 hour notice. I explained this to them. We paid a one night fee of $161.01 for a room that no one used. Housekeeping did not do anything. When I called back to speak with the Manager, Pinki Patel, she refused to give us a full refund or even a partial discount.

I was shocked to find out after speaking with her, that this was the same Pinki that I have created many designer cakes and parties for her and her family, while we too lived in Jackson.

Pinki, I am shocked that you are doing bad business like you are. Even to your friends and people who have helped you in the past. Shame on you.

Bad business. Bad...

This hotel just opened 10 days ago! Brand new construction so it’s understandable that the kinks are still being worked out. Everything is bright and smells NEW! I suppose it’s a personal preference but I appreciate the fact that the full breakfast is not open yet and a hundred different hands haven’t touched my food or it hasn’t been sneezed or coughed on. Grab n go bags with options to fill more if wanted. Muffins, kind bars, orange or apple, small water bottle and a juice option as well. The pool is not open yet but again, is that a bad thing right now? Staff were friendly and accommodating. All it took was a phone call before booking the room to ask is your pool open or what breakfast options do you have right now, to find out so we weren’t surprised when we arrived and those things were modified because of the virus. We would recommend to anyone needing a clean, fresh bed for the night. It’s obviously not a resort so of course you would need to find your fun in and around town. MAJOR PLUS...just a mile or 2 on the other side of the interstate from the newer sports complex. Closest...
