I stayed at La Posada on a Business Trip (work for a medical device company). The hotel is right in the middle of the town. I was there for one night. Room that I get was room #12, which is a on the corner of the building. The room was large enough for one person, small bathroom with bad lighting at the Bathroom, small refrigerator. Bed is hard as a rock. Over the night couldn’t sleep very well because it was very noisy coming of the street during night (corner room remember). My room had a door that connected with the room next to mine. There’s no room service or anything like that (not even a telephone at the room), so you will need to go outside the hotel to eat something, though the hotel had an Restaurant inside, but it open only on weekends. The front desk lady was very helpful and nice, but the only problem is that the lobby is open from 8am-10pm (co-workers of mine arrive like 10 minutes before they closed) so they were lucky enough to get a room. The hotel had a pool, but we didn’t have time to use it, but it was closed and kind of dirty. You will pay a least $87 peer night a room that in the best case scenario will cost $40-$50 night, so for my point of view is a very expensive hotel for what the got to offer. For next business trip, we probably been staying at other hotel, and as far for family trip, I would tried...
Read moreThe room had a moldy smell. Probably due to the leaky faucet in the bathroom. The bathroom had aubergine colored sink, tub and bowl (do not flush paper). Fake flowers decorated the table and the walls were covered with plaster art of more flowers. Not all light bulbs have been replaced after they blew. The room was clean, it had a fridge, air conditioner and a new-fashioned flatscreen tv. The staff is friendly and tried to serve the best they could. ||The village itself is charming and has an interesting history. We were seemingly the only tourists. Most people speak Spanish only, but are kind to non-Spanish speaking visitors. You might see a horse.||Yesteryear's allure may have faded, but there is a charm to this place. The originality of it is not yet covered up with hotel uniformity. Don't stay here with the expectation of a luxury boutique hotel. Surprise yourself with suited expectations and you'll enjoy this relic from the 70's with an...
Read morePros: location and friendly staff, room was cleaned well. Cons: Bathrooms are very outdated, there is no hot water just lukewarm even though the shower head had a heater, vanity light did not work, cracked mirrors, tub was not functional since it did not have a stopper and jets did not work, the second room we had was on the 1st floor and it smelled like sewage (coming from the shower drain). The stairs are very steep and dangerous at some points. This place needs an update asap.
Overall it worked for a night , we slept good but would not stay for more than 1 night due to the...
