Love the location!!! Major amount of shells on the beach. A lot of the red striped ones. The pool at the resort needs to be resurfaced, but it was OK, there wasn't any damaged spots that would hurt your feet. The inside lobby and halls were very tidy and very updated and nice. Having the restaurant next door I really liked. You can just walk to go eat. The food was good; you can have a drink or two and walk right back to your room. It's a quiet area because it's condos. The restaurants on the other side of the inter coastal on the main area of Jensen Beach were excellent. We didn't really seek out the historical places or things that we could have done which we will do next time. We just wanted to relax and that was the most beautiful place to do it with the balconies. We were looking at the ocean from the rooms All day if we weren't in the sun. Some rooms are on the parking lot side should be aware of that when renting. The room we had needed updating in the bathroom terribly!!!! Overall , the place was very clean and the furniture was nice , but the the things that matter are comfort, cleanliness, spa like. The bed was awful awful. We had memory phone on the bed and it was 3" and it was still aweful. People don't get that. That is what we want a comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom to make us feel like we're on a relaxing vacation. I really liked the parking lot being under security. We didn't have to worry about our vehicle. The condo we stayed in had all sorts of ways to enter just to get in but, we managed once we got used to it. I have found some nice places with very nice bathrooms and hopefully nice beds, at this condo, online. Still people just don't get the comfort, view, nice furniture, a well stocked kitchen, and beach items to make a very nice experience. The the price was reasonable as others in same building. It was a little more expensive than central florida condos.

Wonderful place to stay Atlantic beachfront! This was the fourth year in a row we stayed several weeks at the Island Beach Resort on Hutchinson Island by Jensen Beach. We love that these are nicely decorated and furnished apartments with a direct view of ocean, beach, swimming pool, and sunrises. The building is very well-maintained and there seem to always be people making sure all common areas are clean. What first drew our attention to this five-story condo/apartment building is the public restaurant, Shuckers, on the first floor. We had been dining at Shuckers for years when staying with friends in nearby Stuart (10-15 minutes away) and we finally decided just to stay in the IBR building on our visits to our friends. More often than eating in the restaurant now, we go down for a wine at the bar, place a dinner order to go, and my wife and I take it up our room to dine on our balcony. There is a nice little gift shop in the building and a gated private parking area just outside the entrances. It’s also just a 15-minute walk to the delicious Sauders Landing Restaurant waterfront on the interior waterway, and a drive to many other restaurants within 10 - 20 mins. One last plus: A very friendly and helpful front desk staff on duty during business hours to offer assistance or local recommendations. We book the next year as soon as they open up the reservations for then each year. We recommend the Island Beach Resort very highly and are already looking forward to our stay next Feb-March.

We arrived at this place after a long trip across the United States. We thought that when we got here, we would be able to rest and enjoy a quiet, relaxing weekend. When we entered the room we found ants in the kitchen, hair on the bed sheets. Someone came and replaced all the sheets. Later on, when we tried to open the door to the yard, it wouldn’t open at all. The other door did open, but only after pushing very hard. This morning, someone was hammering outside and it was very noisy—and again around noon there was construction noise. The place itself is very beautiful, but we really don’t feel comfortable here. The noise and the issues definitely prevent us from having the quiet weekend we were hoping for. It is very noisy here because of work being done in the room upstairs as well as outside. It is extremely unpleasant and disappointing to pay so much money, expect a quiet and peaceful weekend, and instead arrive to such a noisy room—especially during rest hours.

We have been coming here every year for over 15 yrs..love it..... After making this review a few years ago...I sadly have to change the way we feel about this place. To bring into context to those reading this I am editing my review from years ago where I praise this resort and recommended everyone come here. Management seems to be more upset about setting up a canopy to keep the sun off our children and elderly family members, than the illegal fireworks being set off unprofessionally which ended up accidentally being shot into the pool area where they exploded right in the face of my wife and friend, completely traumatizing the children, who spent the night not wanting to watch fireworks and instead wanted to go inside. Imagine wanting to spend time with children looking up at fireworks but instead dealing with children ages 2 to 12 refusing to come outside again. When I went to management to report the incident, I was told by Danielle, (property manager), there is nothing she can do about it and in fact I should have called the police. I told her after 21 years of coming here, that we may not come back. Instead of her being concerned of losing loyal guests ( 6 to 8 rooms) or even asking if my wife was ok (she showed no concern at all over injuries) she replied with "we were going to tell you that you're not welcome back again." With that being said, as long as Danielle is property Manager with her lack of customer service skills she has displayed repeatedly, I will not plan to come back and I also intend on taking the 10 or more families who have been coming here for years with us somewhere with a better management team. Together between all of us we spend 7k to 10k between rooms and eating at Shuckers. Rest assured, I understand the value of a loyal customer and I will be finding another establishment who understands this as well. Danielle's lack of customer service and total lack of professionalism and attitude has made our vacation unenjoyable and I would recommend you look elsewhere to bring your family. I truly hope someone on the HOA committee or some of the private owners who we rent from see this. I am willing to bet if the management team does not get the proper coaching on handling issues with professionalism there will be a serious problem of filling rooms.. In the past this place was sold out for a July 4th weekend...now there were plenty of rooms available last minute...Good luck in the future. Unfortunately you have lost my family's and friend's loyalty that you have had for the past two decades. So sad one individual can have done this to your establishment. I hope to see a resolution in the...

CONDO UNIT: We stayed in unit 108. We liked that it had 2 queen and 2 king beds. The listing is misleading, however, because it says the couch has a pull-out bed but it does not. The unit is clean, although old. The sliding door does not have a handle on it so it was hard to open and close and there was no way to lock it. Both sliders were very hard to open. Also, there is a leak in the ceiling because when it started to rain, part of the wall started filling up with water and creating a bubble under the paint! Right by a lightswitch! Oh, and since the unit is on the ground floor, if we left any food out in the bedroom, it drew in ants. So, it definitely needs some maintenance but was comfortable and roomy. The most annoying thing was that they give you keys to get into the pool and out to the beach but they were so sticky and difficult to open that we had to wiggle the key for 5 min before it budged. Or we ended up putting the key in the backside of the door handle for it to work. I kind of wished they would just rid of the locks to the pool and beach gate, or maybe install number code locks instead. It would have been nicer for my kids to have easier access. RESORT: The pool was great! Heated temperature was perfect! The beach was great too! Super warm water and nice sand. Not crowded at all. There were even some turtle nests, although we didnt get to see any turtles while there. The waves were great for boogie boarding! We were worried there would be no waves because we heard summer months can have small waves. But we lucked out and were able to boogie board! It being the rainy season (we went beginning of june), we did have a tropical storm pass through so we got rained out a couple of days. It would have been nice to have some games in the condo unit so we could have something to do while stuck inside. The staff was very friendly at Island Beach resort. Even when my kids were running around the halls (they were wiggly being cooped up during the rain), the staff member was very nice about it. We ate at the restaurant once for dinner. Food was good, although service was a bit slow. but it was a busy...
