Crest Motel — Hotel in Kansas City

This is an extended stay motel which charges 205.00 per week. 175.00 is the motel rate, and 30.00 is the Kansas tax rate. Our family has stayed there for three months while we await permanent housing. According to the Kansas department of revenue, when you stay at a motel for a 28 consecutive stay the motel is not supposed to charge you tax anymore. I pointed this out to the management of Shatti & Sons, LTD and they refuse to listen to me. I could report them to the health department for the infestation of HUGE black widow spiders that are there, and the large, vicious Rottweilder dog they allow to roam around without a leash and terrorize the guests. The dog charges at guest whenever they come onto the property, or try to go about their business. Reddy states, "the dog is a security dog and is harmless". Not so, when a dog smells fear they will often attack. They leave the animal unattended to scare the guests. Animal controls has told the management to keep the dog tied up away from the guest but they ignore the warnings. This motel does not accept credit cards, cash only. They do not have phones in the rooms either. Do not go to this...

The new manager was super nice and helpful . Housekeeping was supposed to clean the room before we got in but they didn't so we cleaned it ourselves. Not bad for a cheap motel, rooms could use a fresh coat of paint, but not bad. Usually in cheap motels like this you would expect some kind of bugs, not a single one in sight though.
