I am doing this on my phone so trip advisor won't let me update the listing ... with that said ... here is my review.|This is not a vacation destination in my opinion. I was working in the area and was recommended the Kentland Motel as an inexpensive place to stay that was close to the project I was on.|About cost ... it is geared toward longer term stays for sure as their weekly rate cannot be beat ! I stayed beyond the week for extra couple days and the daily rate was considerably higher. Likely more value priced rooms near by if you are only staying for a couple days.|The motel is definitely dated and showing it's age ... needs an upgrade but is warm and dry.|They make the beds daily and fresh towels (thin towels) ... the room is relatively clean compared to other motels at this weekly price point for sure. The woman that operates it is very friendly and accommodating.|As for the description on the listing ... there is no free breakfast ... no pool that i could see and the name is Kentland Motel.|One of if not the best thing (other than low cost weekly rate) is their WiFi ... i have many issues with wifi being on the road for business and have had to move motels several times as a result.|The WiFi while I was there was solid reliable and quick ... five stars for it.|Would I stay there again ... if I was there for a week and wanted cheap ... yes|Would i recommend it (see above) and if i was only going to be in the area for couple days I would likely try to find alternative accommodations...
Read moreJust about everything was a bad experience here. Not sure where to start. But to summarize, roaches in the bathroom, sewer flies throughout the room and smelled like smoke. Because of the smoke smell I guess that’s why the windows were open when I arrived with air freshener in the window as well. The price was great at $50 including tax but I would’ve paid $60 or $70 maybe if there were no roaches or sewer flies. The parking lot was well lit, the Wi-Fi worked really well and the air conditioner cool the room down fast but I definitely would never stay here...
Read moreBugs in the bed. That bit. No coffee in room or lobby. Cigarette burn holes in the wool blanket. Thin walls - we could hear every truck on Highway 41. The price I was quoted on the phone was lower than what I was charged. Air conditioner poorly installed - cold air and probably bugs coming in around it. No place to hang clothing. If you have a choice of sleeping in your car or here, sleep in your car. The motel down the street is not great, but felt like a 5-star hotel after leaving this place....
