This applies to both the resort and its dive center. Overall, I had an absolute blast at Amoray. As a newer diver, this was my first time staying in such a place, and diving as much as I did. Fortunately, from check in to the actual dives themselves, and the helpful/super nice staff, everything went seamlessly. The check in process was super simple, I got my key and was directed to a very clean, comfortable and spacious room. It had all the basic necessities, and a nice patio out front to see the sunsets. I was lucky to have a room closer to the waterfront so I woke up and slept to a fantastic view every day. They did have a food truck on premises (not-affiliated), but there’s so many great restaurants nearby that i never really went wanting for anything. As for the dive operation, what can I say? I felt like a king being able to walk out of my room and straight into the boat that was docked just outside. Everything was taken care of for me equipment wise, like tanks weights, etc. by a warm, knowledgeable crew (shoutout Captain G, Ken, and everyone else who was there to help me out). It was also cool to have the dive center staff wave us goodbye every time we departed. Safety was always the number 1 priority, and was never compromised. I love the sea, but the sea hates me so it was nice that the boat was pretty large because despite it being a bit choppy 2 out of my 3 days diving, I think the size of the boat helped me avoid feeding any fish more than my sea-bands and Bonine could’ve. The dive sites were all great. Again, I’m newer to doing this much diving so every time underwater felt like a dream to me. From Molasses Reef to Elbow Reef to Wall Ball and everything in between, I was able to see plenty (including my favorite, a shark!). And how can I forget I.CARE. I was finally able to realize my elementary school marine biologist dream and assist with coral outplanting with an experienced team of biologists. I love that Amoray works with an organization like this, and it really made my year to participate in saving the reefs, even though the year just started. In summary, great time, great stay, great diving. Hoping to be back soon. Thank you Amoray

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I cannot recommend Amoray Dive Resort highly enough! My husband and I stayed for a week for our wedding anniversary and everything was so great. The office and dive staff were helpful and communicative before the trip, answering all my questions each time I called. They were warm and welcoming upon arrival, and check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. The crew on the Amoray Diver were also exceptional. Kevin, Aaron, Kalen, Nick, January, Christina, Tom, and all the rest of the crew were attentive, funny, helpful, and knowledgeable! It was truly a joy to cruise and dive with them. The accommodations themselves are somewhat barebones, but as we were spending most of the time in the water, we didn’t need much! (The AC worked which was the most importantly thing for us!) The pool is small but lovely. The lounges and tables at the end of the dock are perfect for watching beautiful sunsets. The free laundry (with pods and dryer sheets provided) means it’s easy to pack light. It’s good to note there is no restaurant on the property, though there is a food truck that is open sometimes. We picked up groceries and ate breakfasts in the room which was easy enough. Having the resort be geared towards divers was so lovely! With the gear wash and gear locker right there, as well as the boat right there, there was no need for lugging everything around which was great after a full day. I know we just so happened to get *perfect* weather and conditions but everything really did seem extraordinary. The dive sites weren’t too crowded, the water was warm and clear, and we saw tons of wildlife including dolphins (off the boat), sea turtles, sharks, crabs, lobsters, eels, rays, jellies, and of course tons of fish and coral! It will be hard to beat such an incredible trip, but I’m sure Jordan and I will be back to try! THANKS, AMORAY!! ☮️❤️🤿

Please keep in mind this is located in the tropical climate of southern Florida (which is why all us northerners love it). You WILL have a few bugs that make it in, especially ants and the occasional Gecko. This is not reflective of the cleanliness of any Florida property. Overall this is a quiet, clean and well-maintained property. There are several activities in the upper Keys within 30 minutes or so, and it is a nice change from the congestion of Key West (2 hour drive). There is no dresser or any other place really to store clothes, except for a few hangers in the closet (not great for shorts and tshirts). However, the full kitchen and cookware was very convenient, and the appliances were all in very good condition. Unit was very clean and after around 7 pm it was quiet (which is fine). Staff was not overly friendly but they were also not rude. There are few amenities here, but you are also not paying for the multiple pools, gym, etc. It is completely fine to set up camp and explore activities (who comes to FL to sit in their lodging). Pool was small but clean and perfect temperature. TV in the unit was an updated Roku TV and had all the apps preinstalled in addition to cable or satellite (although the cable channels were oddly formatted on the screen). The water pressure was a bit lacking in the shower, but it was adequate and the water temperature was fine. I would certainly recommend this property, as long as you are not looking for an expansive resort. If you have children, there are few places for them to play other than the pool, so keep that in mind if traveling with young ones.

Amoray is a conveniently located dive resort in Key Largo that has great diving first of all, and knowledgeable dive masters and captains who really know the areas. It’s a PADI certified resort and you can acquire your cert and refreshers as well as specialties. Rental gear is all provided and the boat is roomy and fully shaded. Dive resorts have it hard. They have to run a fully geared shop and boat service and crew with all that entails PLUS be resort-y-ish for the non diver in the parties. Amoray strikes a nice balance in between. The pool is heated, clean, gated, and private. There’s a small sandy beach and inlet that has kayaks and paddle boards you can take out. There is a lovely waterfront silky white sandy sun lounge with tiki huts and beach chairs and loungers. The premises are quiet and safe and each suite is well furnished, clean, and comfortable. It’s not the Ritz Carlton and there’s no spa or dedicated camera room but the suite has plenty of open counter space for your gear. There’s a food truck permanently parked in front open early and all day serving pretty decent strong coffee and breakfast and food. The front office area has SOME dive gear for sale - not a lot. Housekeeping is low key and able to help with the everything. Like I was freezing after my dive and asked for several blankets after the day. They came in with three smart little fleece blankets! The dive sites are pretty weather specific but if it’s good, you can see a lot of wildlife. Nurse and reef sharks, barracuda, rays, moray eels, lobsters, turtles, as well as wrecks a plenty even in the shallower dives. The boat can accommodate all levels of divers and my husband did a deep wreck dive on the fabled Spiegel. The coral was a little washed out/bleached in areas which is sad but intact. There’s a free ocean cleanup dive which is fun. I enjoyed the Elbow reef and Hannah Bell wreck a lot. All our dives were less than 33 ft so it felt weird to have no safety stop but also convenient. These dive masters leave you more or less independent to swim around as you wish, and I think you have to pay extra for a private dive guide. I had a refresher which was really a one on one refresher with task demonstrations which I learned a lot of new info, from Rob. If I were to include some minor suggestions they would be to have three or so light wall hooks in the dive center showers so you can hang your towel, room key, etc. and the rooms would really benefit from a kitchen shear and one steak knife. The beds and linens were great and the AC is great. There is a Publix grocery and TJ Maxx on Tarpin Blvd about 5 min south. Lots of quirky restaurants nearby. Tipping is best with cash but they do Venmo too. A lovely gem of a resort that has the best low key unpretentiousness of a dive shop while also comfortable enough to relax and read in a hammock by the water if that’s your jam! We’d definitely come back. My husband really appreciated January as the dive master on...

Came down to the keys for a long weekend, being there for a wedding already, why not stay a few extra days! Overall the place is super cute and what I expected coming down to the keys. Though the rooms were nice and the property was fantastic, there were some downsides.

PROs: the rooms are decently large. I stayed in a small apartment mainly for the kitchenette so I wouldn't have to worry about going out to eat every night. There was a full size refrigerator as well as a stove and microwave with tons of cabinet space. The room also had plenty of extra pillows and blankets which is a huge plus because I love sleeping in the freezing cold with tons of blankets. (Crazy, I know) the air unit worked amazing! Kept the room super cold and it was refreshing on the hot days. The pool area was pretty much surrounded by trees along with another building which was perfect for those super windy days. We were still able to hangout and catch a tan without being freezing or worrying about our belongings blowing away. The beach/cove was lovely as well. There were some chairs in a drop down cove which also had the same effect as the pool with the wind blocking, but the upper part which almost seemed like more of a dock with sand over it was beautiful on the not so windy days. There's tons of chairs lined up looking over the gulf. It truly is a pretty site to lay around and hangout for the day.

CONS: if you are staying anywhere at this resort, i highly highly HIGHLY recommend staying in an upstairs room or apartment. The floors are EXTREMELY thin and you can basically hear anyone talking or coughing through the floor. Unfortunately I had the worst upstairs neighbors with the loudest elephant feet and least amount of consideration for anyone around them. (Slamming doors and throwing things around) There was no sleeping past 6 am for us. Also the room service was in their room around 730-8am on the dot every morning SLIDING and BANGING everything possible into the walls and all over the floors. As someone that truly cherishes their sleep I was not happy. It sounded like a hockey game on the tile floor above our room.

The burners on our stove all were not working the first day as well as our fan making an obnoxious clinking sound, this was a super easy and hassle free fix with the staff. They went down and fixed it all up right away! That was a nice plus, especially being someone that travels quite often and knows how you have to track someone down just to get them to come look at what's wrong in your room.

All I can say is you're traveling to the keys to not be in your hotel room/apartment the whole time. The place overall really was pleasant and the staff was super friendly and tried to make your stay as great as possible. You get what...
