I don't know who may be giving good review to this ramp. Let me start: The so called "ramp" doesn't exist anymore. You can see isolated pieces of concrete underwater of what could have being a ramp. Between those concrete pieces there's only sand. This being said, you would be putting your trailer in BIG distress just using this place to launch... My boat is a 25 We went out before dawn (our first and only time. NEVER AGAIN). The security assured me they used that ramp for "44 footers" with no problems. Since it was dark I couldn't see what was under so we paid ($20 for ramp and another $20 for parking). I noticed my trailer was leaning on one side but, the boat was floating so, we went fishing. But on our return... Oh boy! That was what they call a S*show. First I found that the side holders of my trailer were moved form it's position. I can only think the security wanted to be funny. the metallic support bended and costed me $70 to replace them. Once I get the trailer on the water it wouldn't get out: The trailer's tires had a 1.5 feet high piece of what left of the mentioned "ramp" and were sinking on the sand. My truck (2020 Silverado 4X4 with OFFROAD tires) spread sand all over that place with no results. A woman taking care of the ramp (acting like a drunk) at that moment toll me I had to start my engines and "Help" the trailer accelerating the propels to get out... and then I realized this was something very common there when she said "I see this done here ALL THE TIME". I looked around and there were people with cameras installed making videos of the boaters to place in YouTube! This is how bad it is! Long story short: I had to sent my wife to another ramp with the truck to be able to take the boat out. Collecting so much money, I don't understand why they cannot repair that ramp (or I shuld say "Built a ramp"?).
If you care for your trailer and boat and don't want to have a mayor breakdown or an ugly accident, do use this ramp. Your truck is not safe on the parking, your trailer will get stuck on the "Tramp" and your boat engines may hit bottom trying to "help" the...
Read moreI booked this place for my bachelorette party. Our time there was a real bummer. It wasn’t bad until we found bedbugs on a pillow taken from one of the bedrooms and upon further inspection there were a ton on the headboard. The only available person to call was security. They checked it out and went to talk to management, they were reluctant to admit it was bedbugs. When they realized it was bedbugs they refunded our stay but it was like 11:30/12 when they gave us that information. They gave us bags to bag up any items that were by that bed but we obviously weren’t going to stay over night and allow they infestation to for get to our personal items. We were scrambling to find a different place to stay. We ended up checking into a new hotel at 1:15 am and the only place we could find ended up being over $2000 when we paid $850 to stay at the Caribbean resort. We hoped they could compensate for that extra expense but they were only able to offer us a stay in the same condo in the next six months (which would be fall to winter and therefore not a great time to go to the dells and also just not feasible to get that many girls together again since they were coming from all over the state and Minnesota). So not great. But I guess...
Read moreTotal dive bar with no A/C at any time. Only thing going for it is the view. No longer reasonable with drink prices and they up every drinks price by $1 during any event. Bartenders are not consistent with charges for a specific drink: a beer will cost $5 from one bartender and $6.50 from the other, so you have to pay attention to which one is overcharging you and then avoid them. The fireworks shows. Three times a year (July 4, the Christmas boat parade, and January 1) they pollute the bay water with needless fireworks shows that they don’t clean up after. Instead, cleanup consists of hundreds of unpaid volunteers who work as quickly as possible to save the lives of the manatees and pelicans that are eating the fireworks debris. For their pollution alone, they should not be a place to support. Awful management that just gets worse with each spoiled grandkid. It’s CASH ONLY so you know there’s some money laundering going on. Bathrooms are disgusting. There is NOTHING recognizable about the movie filmed here, it was mostly filmed in Hollywood, not Key Largo. If that’s what you like, check out the African Queen by Holiday Inn. Lots of biker activity here. Lots of underground cops, trying to crack down on all the cocaine sold...
