Edit on 5/26 Stayed for a couple weeks at this place for work. Even brought them more business from guys working with us. I paid each week upfront. I checked my bank the day after my final night (check out) and I had been charged for 2 rooms in one night to the tune of $150+ when I had already checked out and had stayed a night in Cheyenne. I called to discuss this, lady insisted I had made that reservation, yet she could not provide documentation for any of the such. Refused to refund my money. I managed to get through to corporate and Wyndham Group is issuing the refund. The corporate bunch were top notch, wouldn't hesitate to use a DIFFERENT Wyndham Hotel.
Trust me and the other guy who mentioned it... Just drive the extra 2 miles to the Days Inn in Kimball or continue to Cheyenne/Sydney. Its pleasant while you are there, but they are greedy when you leave! Very unethical owners!
There are bad reviews for I'm guessing the old livery of this place. I have been here 2 days and plan to be for several weeks for work. Edit 5/26
Original Review The rooms are the nicest around, even more so than the Quality Inn down in Sterling (where I paid a rate 3x of this place!!!). Rooms are clean and very modern from an apparent recent update within the past 6 months or so. Its a family operated place and very quiet for being by the interstate.
I will admit that I have always been skeptical of Super 8's as most experiences were not pleasant and/or just plain gross. I wouldn't 2nd guess for one minute staying here one bit. In fact I plan to upgrade to the "suite" instead of the single when my wife and kids come up to visit for the summer.
I can afford a more costly room, but choose not to due to the...
Read moreThis is an horrible place to stay. The wifi only works in certain spots of the hotel. The room I received only half of the outlets works the one on the lamp almost caught fire. They have mice running throughout the hotel. Their towels are dirty even the new towels they bring you. They are not friendly at all , very rude people. They will try to get over on you as far as money. My friend came to visit me they kept asking me how many days where she staying or when was she leaving and I couldn’t understand for the life of me why they kept asking me that if I paid for a week for this room. I finally said something they stated that she needed to pay to stay there and I told them I didn’t sign any paper or see any sign at the front desk that stated each person in one room has to pay. As long as I paid for the room I should be able bring whomever I please. I have never been treated so poorly at a hotel before. Housekeeping doesn’t clean anything just replace the replaceable . They took my personal towel that I brought from home. And when I confronted them at the front desk they acted like I made everything up. They found it two days later they gave it back to me, didn’t say sorry for inconvenience or for how he was talking to me. The breakfast is nasty , the only thing that’s worth eating is the waffles they have and that’s because you make them yourself. I will never stay here again I don’t care how close this is to...
Read moreWe were caught up in ice and snow storm in Kimball Nebraska, while driving my son and his fiance across country, to move him to Alabama . This was the most convenient and accessible hotel for us to stop and spend the night at. The parking lot literally had 7 vehicles including ours in the parking lot, yet we could not get two rooms next to each other. My husband and I both suffer from terminal cancer and I am on oxygen, so it would have been wonderful to have one of the rooms that had a door to the outside and on the ground floor. The parking lot and all sidewalks were covered in ice and about 4 inches of snow making walking with luggage and an oxygen machine very cumbersome. Besides being unaccommodating , the staff was rude and uncaring. They had signs stating that they offer a breakfast, well, that consisted of a gallon of milk ,cold cereal, and bananas and that was the extent of breakfast. I was highly disappointed in this Super 8, and I have traveled across country numorouse times and stayed at Super 8's in several states and locations. However, I do have to say that the room was clean enough to sleep in which was a plus considering the service and accessibility for the handicapped was well...
