I am writing to express my absolute disgust with my recent experience at this Marriott establishment. It was an appalling demonstration of incompetence and disregard for basic hospitality standards.
My ordeal began when I discovered visibly stained sheets in my first room, along with spit-out nicotine pouches stuck to the floor by the bed. What followed was a ridiculous room-hopping exercise - FOUR separate rooms, ALL with stained sheets, requiring EIGHT separate trips to the front desk.
When I rightfully requested to speak with management, I was informed no manager was available - and wasn't even offered contact information until a staff member independently took initiative. The compensation offerings were insultingly inadequate - first breakfast (already included in my conference package), then a measly 2000 Marriott points (worth less than $20), followed by a reluctant $50 room discount. The discount was never actually offered, and was only given (very reluctantly) after I suggested that a direct discount would be the only appropriate recourse – although $50 still fell far short from addressing the scope of the problem.
The most egregious aspect was when I finally met with the General Operations Manager who demonstrated zero accountability or genuine concern, and only reiterated what had already been done. This was appalling, given the fact that I would not need to speak with management if the previous efforts had been enough. Not a single apology was offered until the housekeeping manager stepped in to demonstrate basic customer service skills. I had to suggest any and all compensation myself, as management seemed completely unwilling to acknowledge the severity of these failures.
I was never offered any upgrades, and my final room was hardly an improvement – with a broken toilet paper holder, stained walls, dirty baseboards, and improperly sized mattress pads. When I inquired specifically about an upgraded room, I was told no rooms were available. This was a blatant lie however, as multiple upgraded rooms were available according to the website. Instead, the random offerings of prosecco, cheeseboards and restaurant credit (for meals already covered by my conference) demonstrated a fundamental misunderstanding of appropriate service recovery.
Having traveled extensively, I can confidently say this ranks among the worst hotel experiences I've ever encountered. This establishment fails to meet even baseline cleanliness standards, and the leadership demonstrates a concerning lack of accountability and customer focus.
This review will be shared widely to ensure others are aware of what awaits at this property.

Read moreI have maybe 1-2 total dining experiences in my entire 50 yrs on earth that could rival the awful, even horribly disappointing experience that I had here. ( both those were with my mother in law & this was without her, so……) |Mgmt was fast and loose , seeming to have experienced such extreme outrage and disappointment far more than a few times, even to point of “handling” me down to an art form. |The server was slow and flippant from the start, but having been a server both times I went for further education, I was sympathetic that things happen and we all have bad days.||She was extremely rude and even after sending my entire meal back asking only to have food on bill removed, she actually stated, “ I don’t care because here, honey, people come and never come back! It’s not like they care”||I think she meant travelers in her system??! There was a large party of people in a closed in room within the semi formal dining room that included a sports team of teenagers. |Maybe she was referring to that part of their business. |We haven’t been to eat at MCC since first years of opening& then agin prob around 2018. I can remember the epic brunch buffet including seafood . While enjoying oneself for brunch, u would see most of who’s who of Kpt , back in 2001-2008. ||While the hotel food experience has never been its previous equal, I admit I was astonished to experience the low level of service and flippant “ we just do not care “ atmosphere covering entire place! ||I could tell the food would have been very good had it been more than a bit less than room temperature, as I received it. A boy from the kitchen yelled for her from Kitchen, yes yelled/screamed … hence us hearing it from inside the kitchen. |Then a boy ( no idea if same boy) came out of kitchen carrying two big plates, he softer than before, cried out her name. About 90 seconds later ( very very long time when ur hungry and can actually SEE the food u ordered, it’s within ur physical grasp) , but societal decorum says to wait…. Patiently…. watch while it gets cold while u continue to starve. |Finally Morgan walks across dining room from somewhere inside the hotel , collects ur food and the next few moments with her are what cause u to lose ur appetite… |I’m leaving the worst out and skipping to the end. Trying to warn others of this … while still keeping most to myself so expressing compassion||Server actually told...
