My reserved non smoking room stank of smoke and was not indicated as a non smoking room on door
Rooms are not accessible from the exterior/parking area. Had a long walk through parking lot, then lobby, the a hallway to reach my room. Several trips were needed as I am traveling with pets.. Then this happened:
Rooms are hazardous to pets - Under the boxspring the lining is ripped/burned through and gives access for small pets to crawl "inside" (cindituon of lining is on purpose, says the manager) my pet was trapped inside the bed while investigating his new surroundings. I had to pick up mattress and box spring to free him (trash and bottles under and "in" the bed as well) as no staff was available to help me. Once free, he ran under 2nd bed as he was traumatised from the ordeal..... And got stuck again!! both beds were in same condition.) I injured myself while doing having to lift matress and boxspring/ frame alone. I am recovering fron surgery and believe I tore internal stitches. I am in a fair amount of pain now, the following morning. I explained the problem to desk ckerk and was allowed to check another room to make sure issue would not be repeated & once was I asssured my pets would be safe, I moved by things to the room next door. Desk clerk said I may be asked to keep pets in kennels (cages!) because of this incident. Why should I punish my "pets" (read as children) because their property is in disrepair?? new room did have a non smoking sign on door thankfully, but Hallway smelled of smoke Bedspreads are soiled/stained 1 has cigarette burns. Remnants of prior guests' Taci Bell feast found under sitting chair Electric outlets not accessible for easy charging of guests devices. One is behind the bed needing to be moved (and I wasnt doing that again), one by desk is fully in use by tv and lamp being used as main room lighting. No Microwave in rooms & Carwash next to hotel makes for a...
Read moreOne star is higher than they deserve. To start, this hotel was $70/ night... not even cheap. I booked 3 nights and a $50 deposit totaling about $300... We couldn't even last 2 hours in the room. We checked in, showered and then noticed one thing wrong after the other. First, there were a few roaches noticed. Killed about 4 of 5. They are normal where we live to be around water, not usually inside but occasionally we find them near our dogs bowl next to her dog door... definitely not okay to be inside... but easy enough to kill them... second, the towels were blood stained orangish brown.... ehhh, whatever... maybe it sat too long for the bleach to get it out. At least they're clean. We ran out to get a quick dinner, it was already 9pm... we got back 30 minutes later ready to sleep after a full day of travel. We were in a car with breaks on and off from 730AM to 745PM... we were beat. Next, we pulled the sheets down to go to bed.... and MORE blood stains! Was this room a crime scene? Did a stabbing take place here? Last, the confrontation. When confronting the receptionist, who would not divulge her name.... pretty sketchy...she stated we couldn't get our deposit back because they do not use blood stained anything and had the audacity to say it was my period blood. I asked if she wanted to check because I'm not on my period and as soon as we saw the problems we took pictures and asked for a refund. She offered to move our rooms for ANOTHER $50 deposit... bugs, blood and who knows what else. I'm not risking staying in that place. Worst place ever. A bunch of scam artists. No refund, no refund of deposit... $300 thrown away. This place doesn't even deserve one star. Ended up going across town 10 miles to America's Best Value Inn, only $10 more a night and so...
Read moreFirst, I only paid $44 a night for this hotel so I’m not super disappointed. Had I paid $80+, I’d cancelled and stayed elsewhere. The check-in staff were the most pleasant part of this hotel. Very friendly. The hotel location is right off the interstate and close to coffee shops and other food venues (fadt food snd sit down). Other than these perks.......Lawd hammercy lol.....the entire facility is under renovation (according to the sign at check-in) and it badly needs it. The pics on the travel sites don’t accurately portray the condition of the property. Dated carpet and bathroom fixtures (tub had stains that looked like cigarette burns). My husband pointed out what looked like blood splatter on the window curtain liner. Honestly, I was too scared to look to speculate the validity of this hypothesis lol That said, other than the curtain issue, the room, linens etc WERE very clean and the bed slept good. The pillows were supportive but not too firm (which I like). As another reviewer mentioned, the bedspread is a little thin so we had to take one off the second bed and use it on ours. There was a coffee maker and fridge in the room. The housekeeper didn’t clean the coffee pot or supply another coffee pod for the second day of our stay so we had to trek down to the lobby for coffee. They do serve continental style breakfast but it is mainly bread carbs with yogurt being the only protein option. I have to have a low carb and sugar diet so nothing at breakfast was an option for me. Again, I paid $44 a night for a clean, comfortable place to sleep so I’m not complaining. I’m just letting you know what to expect before you book this hotel at a higher price point and expect it to be as nice as the pictures portray...
