Cranky Crow Guest House — Hotel in Kodiak

The Cranky Crow B&B is amazing. You will not be disappointed with quite location, clean rooms and Stephanie’s morning breakfast. If you are coming to Kodiak to fish, consider an ATV fishing tour with Saltrey Adventures. Stephanie can help with the arrangements. You will not be disappointed. Be prepared to get muddy, and wet on the 16 mile trek to the Saltrey river to fish. This is not a smooth ride for those who do not like to be bounced around. If your looking for adventure book it. The guides know the river and the holes for landing your limits for the day.

Four of us rented out the guest house. Although there were some minor issues - the motion sensor for the kitchen lights got turned off, the towels and washcloths wound up all in one bathroom - we got them straightened out and enjoyed our 5 night stay there. Very comfortable, plenty of room (and hot water), a nice communal kitchen and living room. Would most strongly recommend it for a group of friends, not as an individual. We got no breakfast and the "military" rate was higher than the advertised web site rate. No sheets or cleaning for two weeks. INCREDIBLY noisy. You can hear every footstep, conversations and TV from the family upstairs. No view. You are staying in someone's basement. They built a wall with a door to segregate part of the upstairs to get another bedroom to rent. That room has the laundry outside the door but you can only do one load a week.
