My friend and I were making a wedding cake for a couple in Lakeside but did not want to transport it during the 3 hour drive from home. Thankfully, we were able to find an RV park that would accommodate my trailer and the tent that our friend and her husband shared. Much to our pleasure, this park was beautifully laid out with full hookups, free cable boxes, and clean restrooms. The owners are also extremely nice. When my husband checked in, he told them what we were doing (cake decorating) and they offered to let us use the rec room kitchen if we needed. They also stopped on their way home from church to give us our $5 deposit on the bathroom key as we were 7 minutes late in the check out time and the office is closed from noon til one so the office worker was unavailable. So considerate. There is a small creek that flows next to the park and there is an historical building on the property. Very clean, nice patios with each site and enough elevation change to make it not feel like the typical "parking lot" camping. Both short term and long term camping are available. After the cake was done, the 4 of us enjoyed a very quiet dinner on the new table on our patio. My husband and I extended our stay an extra day after the wedding and enjoyed the cable tv, the wheelchair accessible path through the park and the lovely views. I would come again to get a better look at the area. There is a very nice walmart nearby that sells groceries and some...

Read moreI am blown away by this park! We have visited many RV parks and this is BY FAR the cleanest and most quiet park we have ever stayed in. We arrived at night so I called ahead to ask for a pull through spot and they switched things around to make it happen! The service was amazing. More like a resort than an RV Park! We used their cable box at night to watch TV, walked to the nearby Italian Restaurant for some awesome pizza, and walked through the gorgeous gardens on site. The pool is clean, and they have many tables with umbrellas so shade was abundant even at midday. Our stay was short, but we managed to pack in quite a bit. And to the person who said it is full of druggies--- HUH?!?!?! I am pretty sure that person did not stay at this park. Most of the tenants seem to be older/retired people and their sites were very, very well-maintained. I mean this park is SO quiet at night you literally hear nothing. No one was out after 7pm, except maybe the few dog walkers. So if quiet isn't your thing then this is probably not the park for you. We enjoyed the quiet, serene atmosphere and will definitely be back!Tips: The ping pong balls are all cracked so buy a few at the Dollar Store to use if you are into table tennis. And bring mosquito repellant as there is a small creek in the back of the park which may attract them. My daughter has "sweet blood" and they got her pretty good. That was our...
