Sleep Inn Lancaster Dallas South — Hotel in Lancaster

I was taken advantage of on 5/26/2019 The p are crooked first and foremost i dont smoke neither does my fiancee she has a health problem so when it comes time to checl out i go down stairs to the front desk i paid 112 and some change for the room since i was paying cash the lady at check in said it would be $50 i gave them 180 they didn't have any change so they said they would havetl hold more on my deposit and i would get it back at checkout. So i waited almost 30 mins for the to check my room so i could get my deposit back the asst manager said she couldnt give me my deposit back because the room and hallway smelled like cigarettes. Remind you i cant stand cigarette for the life of me THEY SMELL LIKE DEATH no way around IT, so im now in situations were they're false accusing me of smoking cigarettes in the room when I clearly booked a smoke free room then the general and assistant manager said my fiancee smelled like cigarettes when she has a health problem with breathing and is on medication this is highway robbery and should not be tolerated I was speaking with the manger MS. CRYSTAL DAVIS about the situation of being falsely ACCUSED of smoking cigarettes in the room and ask for someone high she walked off as i was talking and came with a 1800 number and made a statement that just so I know all they was going to do is call up there and ask her and she was just going to say the room smelled like cigarette smoke and that i might as well just go on because i wasnt getting my deposit back. Then they said it was tobacco residue in the trash can. Sent another employee black guy with dreads to the room he came back and was like its not any tobacco residue when the lady said it was but then he stated the hallway and room smelled like cigarettes how do i not know if the employee that checked the room first time went into the room smelling like cigarettes they might smoke cigarettes. Someone is not being honest within the company when the tall lady which was the assistant manager came up to to the room to see if we was staying another day knocked on the door and opened it she more than likely wouldve made a statement that it smelled like cigarettes but did she no she didnt at all i told her no we were not and was about to check out she said "ok baby" which is very inappropriate to be saying to a customer. I WORK DAMN HARD FOR MY MONEY JUST TO GIVE IT AWAY WHEN I DID NOT DO NOTHING WRONG BUT ARRIVE AT MY ROOM AT MIDNIGHT AND WENT STRAIGHT TO SLEEP THEN CHECKED OUT ONLY TO FIND THAT MY MONEY IS BEING STOLEN FROM ME IF THE OWNER OF THE SLEEP INN/ MAIN STAY HOTEL SEES THIS I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A WORD WITH YOU ABOUT THIS SITUATION THIS IS CRIME AND RIP OF TO KEEP PEOPLE DEPOSIT WHEN THEY ARE ABIDING BY YOUR RULES AND...

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! REPECT... DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! Management are very unprofessional and were very rude to my fiancé beyond rude. We were accused of smoking cigarettes inside of our hotel room (which we didn’t), and we even requested a smoke free room because of my health issues. My fiancé told management several times we do not smoke cigarettes and they blatantly were rude and stole our money and kept our deposit. On top of that I have health issues which my fiancé told them repeatedly. I can’t even smoke or be around smoke, and I don’t smoke cigarettes at all or my fiancé we never have. When we checked into the hotel they didn’t even have enough change to give us change back for our deposit. So we ended up giving them extra cash and my fiancé told them, when we check out just give us our change back and they agreed and we never got that in return. They accused us of smelling like cigarettes and our room and kept our deposit. Management was very rude when my fiancé was talking to one of the managers she walked off while he was talking to her very respectfully. We asked her to give us a number to corporate so we could fight this cause we have no reason to lie about smoking on there sorry property that’s not that great. She said with a attitude there’s no point all they’re going to do is call me and I’m going to tell them the room smelled like smoke and there going to believe me so you’re wasting your time. I refuse to ever step foot in this sorry hotel ever again first and last time, management was blatantly disrespectful to my Fiancé and I. We work hard for our money and we basically got it stolen over a so called cigarette smell they accused us of even though we didn't. Which is utterly ridiculous. So whoever is reading this do not stay at this hotel ever! They will steal your hard earned money and accuse you of things you didn’t do to keep your money to them selves. After much searching we visited Mainstay/Sleep Inn in Lancaster Texas, and decided to have our 59th family reunion here. We reserved and used over half the rooms. The rooms were clean, but they did not come to reclean. We were there from Friday until Sunday. We had to bring our dirty towels down to the front desk in order to receive clean towels(this is absurd),never heard of such. We had to pay for the use of the conference room when it should have been complimentary. Most hotels offer at least one complimentary room to the hosting party of the reunion, this hotel doesn't offer any complimentary packages. We were able to use the breakfast area for our overflow for our Friday night meet and greet, it had a hole in the ceiling but was covered with a plastic bag. When we returned from our Saturday event the area was roped off, saying it was not safe, that someone was coming to repair, well the very next morning the rope was down and hole still in the ceiling, but people were allowed to come in and sit down for breakfast. My family was never loud, nor destructive so this was not a good move to make by the hotel. I felt like they didn't want the families to gather there, even on Friday night after a while everyone left the breakfast area and a few ladies stayed and played cards, but not disturbing anyone. I was very disappointed in the hotel stay because they would not allow the families to gather inside, it was hot as hell outside when we were told to go out by the pool.
