BEWARE!!!!! They allow employees to steal money from rooms and take ZERO responsibility for it or for any of their mistakes they made! It started with check-in when they specifically asked if we would like our room serviced during our two night stay (due to covid) I told them no, we do not need anyone to come to our room. We had money on our desk counter in the room for a wedding gift and while we were out of the room they came and serviced it even though we requested them not to, when we returned the money was gone. We spoke with the acting supervisor at the time, who told us they would review the log and call us. Once they reviewed it we were told NO ONE came into our room except us. (FIRST LIE) Our room had clearly been serviced by their staff. New towels, folded toilet paper, new packaged soap, etc. When we asked why they serviced our room after clearly stating we didn’t need it we were told it’s OUR FAULT for not putting a “do not disturb” sign up. Even though it states in their Covid information sheet they unless requested they won’t service a room. If a do not disturb sign was required that should have been clearly stated at check in. They told us they would speak to the manager and call us the next day. (LIE TWO) no manager was informed and we had to wait until Monday which we were flying home and no longer there (Conveniently for them.) The manager called my husband Monday and stated they are not responsible for any lost or stolen items from the room and it was our word against the service woman’s who denied taking any cash. He told my husband again it’s our fault for not putting up a do not disturb sign or for not locking up our cash! He refused to take any responsibility for dropping the ball or for the lies we were told. The person that checked the “log” clearly lied about no one coming into our room, when they then admitted someone DID service our room. They should NOT be asking guest if they want their room serviced and act like they are worried about COVID, if they are going to service the room no matter what! DO NOT tell a guest it is their fault if it is supposed to be part of your company COVID protocol!! I am disgusted with the lack of professionalism and lack of responsibility from the Hyatt Place Wesley Chapel. They clearly support theft and highly lack customer service. If I could give them a...

My husband and I would have given this location no stars, however that’s not an option. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to stay at this location since the manager Scott took it upon himself to cancel our reservation after we were an hour from the hotel. We booked online through a third party and selected the option to pay when we got there, not sure why but at around 11 am we received a phone call from the front desk staff stating that they were unable to charge our card on file, again not sure why we are charging anything when we haven’t arrived and selected an option to pay when we got there. Called back and spoke with front desk staff and was told we would need to complete a form with our credit card information and signature and send back, I explained that my husband and I were an hour from the hotel and that we had no way of printing out the paper and getting it back to them. We were told not to worry about it and that she would talk with the manager and would handle it when we got there. About 15 minutes later we received a phone call from Scott the manager at this particular location and was told that our reservation was not confirmed and that our room had been given away and that there was no longer any availability at this location. When I asked why our credit card was charged to begin with even though we hadn’t arrived I was told that this is their policy. My husband asked, what if we were paying with cash? And again was told this is policy. I called the Hyatt corporate offices and spoke with one of their customer service reps who apologized and helped us book another hotel which was 20 minutes out of our way and slightly more expensive, but we were willing to try it out. I am just appalled that a hotel that charges this much money gets away with treating their customers the way they treated my husband and I. There was no apology from the manager and no effort was made to help us understand why my credit card was being charged when we hadn’t arrived yet. My husband and I travel a lot for work and pleasure and we will never ever...

We drove from SC to Tampa for our vacation. The location of this hotel is perfect. It's right next to the interstate, and near places to shop, eat, and hang out for some fun. Also, there is a Dollar Tree a short walk, or a 1 minute drive up the road. We were able to jump on the interstate, and go to downtown Tampa with two or three minutes.

The reason I didn't give 5 stars is the air conditioner. The first day it kept the room cool. At night I put it on high, at 72 degrees to keep the room cold while we slept. It got hot and woke us up. The temperature actually rose while being on high. When we came back to the room being out and about in town, the room was still hot. I found out after playing with the air conditioner, it only cools the room when it's on cold. On high, it just blows the fan, even though it's on air conditioner. After figuring that out, the room stayed cool. When we arrived, the staff was very courteous. The room was clean, albeit, a little smaller than the other Hyatt hotels we stayed in previously. The bathroom has a sliding door, and was quite spacious. The doors have a lock, as well as mechanism that you can flip to keep unwanted guest out (I will include a photo).

We stayed Mon-Fri. The first morning for breakfast we woke up a little later than we wanted and ate. When 9 AM came around, the lady didn't start packing up the food right away. She gave everyone time to eat and then slowly started taking the food away. The next day, the other lady immediately started putting food away at 9 AM. She didn't wait or hesitate at all. The coffee was warm both days we ate breakfast.

There is no microwave in your room so you have to go downstairs to the cafe area to warm your food. This didn't pose a problem for us since we only used it once.

There is also a laundry room. It consist of one dryer and one washer. $3.25 for the washer (43 minutes) and $3.00 for the dryer...

This is a tough review to write. The staff member at checkin was wonderful. Relatively easy process. Cordial. Rate was very good. Our room (329) was lovely, larger than I expected, nice bed, nice design, sofa, good desk, thoughtful lighting, bath with a separate toilet/shower room. Great bottles of shampoo/body wash, not strongly scented. But the water pressure in the shower was dismal. There was no microwave? (have to admit I didn't check for that in advance of booking as there was a fridge) And it was LOUD. We were on the corner of the building overlooking Hwy 56 and on Monday, about 5am the traffic is LOUD. Big trucks, motorcycles, you name it - it's on that road. You can pay an extra fee to be put in a higher level room or away from the road (costs seem to vary based on day - $15 - $35). I'm ok with "pay for play" but I wish I'd known just how loud it would be. There is a free breakfast - it might have been the worst ever in a hotel. It's a buffet - powdered eggs, dried up chicken sausages, cereals, bagels/bread with one toaster, OJ, a "Breakfast Burrito Bar" but I didn't see any tortillas, but there were toppings. No waffles or the usual bacon. I went thinking there was a "pay for breakfast" that we could order if we weren't impressed with the free, but I couldn't find it. There are some restaurants outside the Hyatt - they are not nextdoor, but close enough to run out for breakfast and come back before 11am checkout. If we wind up in this area again, we would stay, I won't wash my hair! - wouldn't try breakfast. It's an excellent location - close to shopping, Uber will take you wherever you need to go and it was affordable in comparison to most options.
