With a verbally confirmed reservation of a deluxe cabin with full kitchen by a staff member 1 day prior to arrival, That was not the case upon arrival. Cabins with kitchens are NOT PET FRIENDLY. I asked for an explanation as to the reason for that, when guests travel with their family pets, and aren't allowed to cook for the family because of this rule, while pets are allowed in other cabins, while that number is very low. My inquiry struck a nerve with the employee, and visually could see the irritation it caused her. The reasoning made no sense, pointing out that there is no difference between cleaning either cabins with or without a kitchen with allowing a pet in either of them. I paid and expected a kitchen, and had brought perishable food needing to be baked and or cooked, subsequently most had to be wasted. A little NEED TO KNOW INFORMATION FOR ALL GUESTS The property keeps notes on all guests, claiming issues, opinions and more of your stay. I was informed that on a stay a year ago, I did not clean up after my dogs #2. Only way to confirm and be factual would be to have personally witnessed and observed that happen, and making it possible to place blame on one individual, which did not happen. So falsely accusing an individual without proof,a year later at that, was inappropriate and offensive. The rules pertaining to occupying cabins with a pet are Inappropriate and seems to be the preference of the property owners or management only. Being a pet owner, with a deaf senior dog,who is a service companion of 12 years, his appearance of breed, brought up the reminder that the property doesn't allow so called AGGRESSIVE BREEDS, ROTTWEILER, DOBERMAN, CHOW,PITBULL,GERMAN SHEPARD,so I'm getting a break being allowed to stay at this property as it is. The next day a small dog, aggressively ran 50 feet into my cabins area NOT on a leash as required and growled and barked within 2 feet of me and my dog showing aggression,as my so called AGGRESSIVE BREED DOG,remained laying down showing no interest or aggression back. I'm sure if he had I would have been asked to leave ,but rules are different for individuals here, and even breaking the ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES RULE,the property ignored it. There are visible openings in the cabins allowing drafts, bugs and more into the cabins. The bunk beds came with no linens UNEXPECTEDLY. The general store/office has very limited hours for guests to utilize or make purchases. While sleeping at 9:15am on our checkout date, laying in bed with only underwear on,an employee without knocking just walks in 1 hour and 45 minutes BEFORE checkout time, why? I was irritated and felt disrespected and uncomfortable, and confused as to why without knocking would an employee enter a rented cabin prior to check out time. The front desk lady apologized and had no explanation for why that happened, especially when rented units are listed with check out dates for employees information. I haven't received a phone call from management apologizing as of 4pm either. Some of the staff seem to be very judgemental and have the BETTER THAN YOU attitude towards guests who they feel are beneath them. Reconsidering options for lodgings is a recommendation and is what I will do before having to...

I gave the property owners/franchise owners almost four days to respond and they did not respond to my complaint. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin-largest on the property. This was our first time staying at your property and I don't know if we will recommend or come back. I am used to camping and grew up on a property in the woods but our experience was beyond any cabin we have ever stayed at. Shortly upon entering and unpacking we realized there was a problem with ants. One of the staff members gave us some ant spray and saw the ants in the loft area. We were given new sheets the ants immediately returned. So they gave us new sheets again. The manager was not on the property and the staff said they couldn’t do anything about the problem other than give us ant spray. Our daughter decided to sleep in another area. We cleaned and took our trash to the dump site after every meal - trying to reduce any problem but they were in the walls. The ants were in the kitchen as well. We carefully put our bread, apples, bananas, ect in the microwave and midday when we went to get buns noticed it was infested. (Not a few but hundreds so we threw the stuff out.)The manager came on the property and saw the problem. He did not see as many as we saw since we had just cleaned the area. He cleaned the microwave with Clorox and vacuumed a little as well as looked around the cabin. They gave us a $10 credit for hot dog buns and charcoal - the stores prices were 2x what I originally paid. He also gave a 10 credit for the peddle bikes. I did not feel he would give us a greater credit or even a return to leave the property so I took the $20 credit. In the evening I noticed ants in the larger bedroom. We considered leaving but did not see where to return the key so we left at 10am after breakfast. We would have left earlier but unfortunately it was heavily raining and we were soaked even when we did leave. The cabins door also did not fully close and when it rained it leaked water. The floor was even soft and was not safe to walk on it. We mentioned this to the manager on Sunday and he said he was aware of it. One could see that it was filled with mold from the moisture in this area. When the rain came it poured in by the floor and flooded the area. The WIFI and bounce pillow were also down for the weekend. I don't think this lived up to the price we paid for the cabin for the two nights stay. I am very disappointed with the manager's response and...
Read morePool- clean, never busy, umbrella tables, tons of reclining chairs, attentive staff keeping area clean. Only downside is there is no shade (unless you are at the umbrella table (there are 2)
Playgrounds- great! There are 2 and the bigger one has a zip line that the children loved.
Office+staff- the office has a very large selection of clothing, RV and camping supplies, snacks, pizza, ice cream, laundry supplies and souvenirs. The staff was super over the top kind and helpful with saving us money and being accommodating. The only downside is the staff is clearly overworked and underpaid. I picked up on it right away and later heard some disgruntled staff members talking that were overwhelmed, and mentioned ‘they get paid minimum wage to be overworked’. But they still maintained professionalism with customers and had smiles on.
Campsites-this area is by a train track, airport, and creek. So if you are staying near the dog park, be prepared to smell the creek, the air to be muggy, and to hear trains. We have loud kids so none of this bugged us much. But for some, it could be very frustrating. We stayed at sites 36 and 57. The sites were on the smaller side, but were clean and came with a round metal table and 4 chairs.
Activities for kids- they had a movie night in the park and do other things for kids which was a cute added bonus.
Arcade- sadly, this was the only real letdown of our trip. All but 2 games were broken. Those 2 kept eating our money and when the kids would win a toy, it would only give it to them half the time. The KOA doesn’t own the games so if you have issues you have to contact the company that does (and they don’t respond to you or care to come fix issues-obviously). Hopefully this get addressed so because the kids would have loved it!
Panning/mining- cute, but small and isn’t restocked often
Bathrooms-clean, have everything you need, but are small small showers with weak water pressure.
Laundry- lastly, the laundry room is AMAZING. Don’t use washer #1, but other than that it is cheap and the dryers dry SO fast and are huge. I did 3 loads of laundry in 45 minutes! Pretty rad.
Overall we had a good time and would still return despite the flaws. Giving...
