We stayed at this hotel after the Eugene Duck Game. At first I was bummed about staying in a tiny town when we originally were looking to stay in Eugene, but I am so glad it worked out the way it did. This hotel is awesome!
We recently stayed at a 5 star hotel in New Jersey and this hotel blew that hotel out of the water! I cannot believe how little we paid for such a great experience. The hotel was clean, smelled good, had an amazing koi pond garden, and comfortable beds. The restaurant was delish. And the free breakfast was superb. It was like getting a fine dining breakfast for free.
We kind of had a rough night...My sweet daughter ate WAY too much at their delicious restaurant during dinner and threw up all over the comforter in the middle of the night (ugh). The night manager didn't make us feel bad at all. And what I can see from our credit card statement, they didn't even charge us for a replacement (not YET at least).
The only thing that could have been better is that most hotel managers would say something like, "I hope she is okay. Let me know if you need anything else." But that is asking a lot. I get that. I had to go to the front desk to get replacement bedding. That should have been a given and replacement bedding should have been offered up immediately at our room. No sheets, not comforter. A thin itchy blanket. My husband had to sleep on the mattress pad. That is kind of gross. I was told they didn't have any more comforters. Really?
Also, I ran to our car after my child got sick to get a box of supplies I keep in there with a thermometer and medicine for her, etc...when I came back into the hotel, half asleep, and stressed because of the situation, I happened to look a little too long at the hand sanitizer for sale. The manager kinda looked at me weird and said, "THAT is the hotel store. You would need to pay for any of those items." Dude! I wouldn't steal hand sanitizer or mints at 1 a.m. in the morning after you know my daughter just puked. Come on. People probably try to take that stuff all the time, but try to consider the context of the situation.
Anyhoo...overall, if my daughter wouldn't have puked, I would say one of the better hotel experieces I have ever had. Thinking about driving to Lebanon Oregon again,...
Read moreWhat a wonderful experience. I always go into the medium-priced hotels with minimum expectations and am always blown away by the service! At the front desk they had several employees who went above and beyond to help us out. Susan helped me access a Zoom meeting when I couldn't figure it out. She helped me download the program and get set up. It would have been a huge problem if she weren't able to help me. And so friendly. Michelle was so kind our first night there. My daughter was moving up there for school and had most all of her belongings in and on top of her car while awaiting an apartment. Michelle responded to that concern by having her park just outside the front door under the overhead where the staff could keep their eye on it and the camera was always focused. It really put our minds at ease. There was also at least one other front desk clerk who went out of her way, beyond the call, to help us out. The cleaning crew were all super friendly and helpful.||BW is not a luxury brand. It is well priced, clean, and has the most exceptional staff. Every amenity is free: parking, hot coffee, tea and water 24-7. They put out fresh, homemade cookies every night for the guests. The pool and jacuzzi are open until 11:00 pm, which is nice. The gym, though small, has everything one needs to have a nice workout. Pool towels are provided. And the garden and pond that sits on the backside of the property is like a national gem. It's amazing! One could spend hours there meditating, studying, dining (in the in-house, very nice restaurant), writing or visiting. Wow! What a special treat. I must add that the restaurant, operated by another company, was delicious.|We dined outside on the patio and I had a wonderful margarita he made to order. The dinner was wonderful, and the sound and view of the water fountain in the center of the pond made it an exceptional experience. It's not an inexpensive restaurant. But in addition to fine steaks, which smelled so good, they had more affordable dishes such as pastas and salads. I would definitely eat there again. I ate everything on my plate plus my salad, also made to order. I'm a very...

So the back story is, this was when the Gale Force Winds hit Sweet Home and we were getting ready to go when a branch came off a tree and slammed into our Trailer Door scaring my kid. We ran out without anything lol and drove to this place. At the time we were all still very upset because we left our pets.
When we arrived the kind lady up front greeted us with a smile and cookies for my kids which put them in a great mood. (Amazing how a smile and cookies can turn a tearful sad face into a smiling beaming face) we got to our room settled for a few moments then went to go see the Koi. Kiddos couldn't see the Koi just yet, so we walked in their beautiful garden.
Rain and wind picked up so we went back to the room and hung out for a while. Went to the store to get stuff we needed then back to the room. By this time it was dark out and the kids wanted to see the Koi so we went out and saw them and OMG THEY ARE MAGNIFICENT!
Had some issues getting the TV going with the Google Home but they fixed it for us.
We had a good rest and then it was time for breakfast which was amazing! The bacon from the restraunt is nummy and my Dogs loved it too (Had to get my dogs some treats for the scared night they spent) their Oatmeal was fantastic, eggs fantastic. I've been to many hotels and this was the first time it was real bacon and real eggs.
All in all, we'll be back again next time we need a hotel! This place is fantastic and just down right perfect for families and everyone. Even the coffee was spot on perfect. They even gave my kids Hot Chocolate.
Thank you for being so kind to a family who was...
