Update #1: Went here for our anniversary dinner. Got some asada cheesy fries for our appetizer. They were surprisingly really good, we had some main dishes with a couple shots of Patron. Those were smooth and had a beer. All amazing! Our waiter was very attentive and assisted with my wife's mixed drink that was also amazing! This place always seems to do it right. I think it was one of our best visits yet. We went on a Friday around 5pm. Was somewhat busy but never did we have to wait on service at our table. Highly recommend this place still to this day. Original post: Ordered out some mini tacos and steak taco salad. They both were very good! The definitely provide a good portion in both meals. Their prices have gone up a fair amount but then again everything costs more than it did. Definitely recommend this place and to go out for a sit down meal.

Showed up early to set up a birthday banner across some chairs. Maria saw me struggling and offered me thumbtacks to hang the banner on the wall! Maria was very friendly and provided great service. Chips and salsa were great (we preferred the spicy salsa). Carne asada fries were very good. Fries crispy, meat tender, guacamole and pico de gallon fresh and flavorful. Our dinners were served on huge plates so portions are large, which I’m not angry about one bit! The 4 of us got here before the 6/6:30 dinner rush, right at 5:30. Even still service was quick and professional. Food was delicious for our first visit here and will definitely be back. Thank you Maria and thank you Ixtapa!

I tried Ixtapa first time here. Very impressed with their food and service. The chips and salsa were very good. The server refilled our chips and salsa generously. Also brought a special spicy salsa after hearing about us like spice. The Burrito and quesadilla we ordered was also very good and freshly made. Very happy with the portion size and their fast service. The servers made sure we had everything and check on us couple of times. I would definitely go back there and recommend this place.

If you are visiting the little town of Lebanon, Oregon and have the taste buds for spicy foods and great customer service, Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant would be a great place to stop by and eat. Food- The food at Ixtapa is outstanding, even if you don't like Mexican food there is also a part of the menu that is American food. The food comes on time and hot! Their menu is very well priced for how much food you get and you leave very full and satisfied. Atmosphere- The atmosphere at Ixtapa is relaxing and not uptight. There wall decorations are beautiful, and the chairs in the restaurant are even decorated and painted in the back as well. There is Mexican music in the background but low enough so you can hear each other talk. Service- Not only dos the place look great and the food is to die for, but the customer service is wonderful! The whole Ixtapa staff is outgoing and easy to talk to. They are characters and make you feel comfortable in the restaurant. They check up on how you are doing and how your food is quite often with your visit there. Price- As I said previously, the price is good for how much food you get, and for me I am always taking home leftovers when I go to Ixtapa. I would recommend going here if you never have, it is a good experience and the people...

If you get an order to go, look at your food before you leave the restaurant !. Food quality has really gone down over the last year or two. Used to be great food, but went there today and were disappointed again. Salsa wasn't even slightly spicy and I asked for hot. Chile colorado burrito was like a tomato sauce instead of dark chili sauce. instead of rice and beans, I asked for rice only (In the past I would get double the rice in place of the beans). This time I got neither rice nor beans, just a small burrito !!

Also, when you order a meal to go they usually give you a small bag of chips and a few containers of salsa which is great. BUT: when you order a meal AND a SEPARATE order of large chips and salsa, they DO NOT include the regular bag and salsa containers you should get. IF i go back, i guess ill have to order my meal to go, wait to get it, pay, then order the large chips and salsa completely separately. Note to owner: I am more than willing to pay higher prices if the food is good, but you will continue to lose customers by cutting the quality...

Called in at 8:55 and placed an order (they close at 9:30). Was told it will be ten minutes. Arrived at location 10 mins later only to be told rudely by the host that I called the wrong Ixtapa restaurant. Since it was still 20 minutes until close, I asked if I could still put in an order. The host looked mad that I would ask so late but agreed. Then he told me he would not be able to add shrimp to a taco salad like the Ixtapa location I mistakenly called, because the kitchen was closed. Why would the kitchen be closed 20 minutes before the restaurant closing time? Makes no sense. How hard is it to put a smile on your face and top a freaking taco salad with some shrimp? We used to be regulars here, we decided to leave before allowing him to finish our order. Never going here again. I guess Dos Arbilitos will have to be my new go-to for Mexican going...
