Sea Grape Inn Longboat Key, Florida — Hotel in Longboat Key

27 January 2022 by Anne Corcoran-Morse What a fabulous find!! We were so lucky to stumble across last minute availability for our timeframe, and are now dedicated to spending our vacations here. The facility is perfect......small, quiet, and personal, with an unbeatable location. Wanda is a wonderful presence throughout the week, always ready with a smile, going out of her way to help with whatever needs one has, as well as being available for a fun chat! She takes this place to the top!! The condo unit was super clean, which is one of my biggest concerns when staying away, and had plenty of towels, as well as starter paper goods and cleaning products. The only thing I would recommend for this particular unit is that they have a couple of extra blankets available. The heated pool is clean, and a great temperature for those cooler days, and the "complex" is right on the beach, so it's merely a matter of steps to be in the sand surfside, and no issue to run back inside to grab something or take care of business. There are plenty of loungers on the beach, and it's never busy......so relaxing!! Having an assigned parking space is great, as I would recommend having a car for grocery shopping (Publix is just a short drive down the road), or sightseeing. The onsite coin laundry is convenient, and complimentary detergent is provided. In the laundry room is a rack of books for borrowing and swapping, which we loved!!! The landscaping and vegetation on this property is just beautiful, and adds to the sense of privacy. All in all, this was the most relaxing vacation we've had, thanks to the skilled management of this facility by Wanda, and we can't wait...

Our family of four just returned from a 4-night stay the Sea Grape Inn (unit #5) and we really enjoyed it! The location can’t be beat, as it’s right in the heart of quiet Longboat Key while being just down the road from the more bustling Bradenton Beach and Anna Maria Island. Our unit was steps from the pool and an easy walk to the peaceful, private beach. When I say private, I really mean it—there were days we basically had the whole stretch of beach to ourselves! We had never experienced this level of privacy on a beach anywhere we’ve travelled before, and this was the heart of the summer—amazing! Elsewhere, the unit was roomy, its beds were comfy, the kitchen appliances were fantastic, and we had a great view of the pool and ocean from the balcony. The included beach chairs and umbrellas were also a nice touch. We had to ask Wanda for a few things during our stay and she was helpful and friendly.||If I can make a few minor complaints that could improve the stay for the next guests, I would first say our unit (#5) was fairly barebones in terms of provisions. We had very little in the way of extra toilet paper, paper towels, or trash bags, leading to a grocery delivery order after just a couple of days. We also had very few extra towels and beach towels. There were also a few burned out light bulbs, lamps not plugged into anything, and a bit of a sketchy electrical/power strip setup in the primary bedroom. ||Again, the above issues were minor and definitely wouldn’t prevent us from staying here again. Enjoyed a very nice, relaxing stay at Sea Grape Inn condo #5 over Thanksgiving break! Complex is small with only 8 units, all with ocean views, very quiet and secluded, on Longboat Key. Location is great, convenient to St. Armand's Key for shops/restaurants and in close proximity to a grocery store (Publix) and several good restaurants. Had wonderful meals at Tripletail, Duval's, Speak's Clam Bar, and Lazy Lobster! Unit itself is nicely updated, with everything you need, and plenty of room for our family of 4. There is a small, nicely heated pool onsite which the kids enjoyed! The pool is immediately adjacent to the beach, which is always good, especially with kids in tow. There are complimentary loungers on the beach for guest use. The beach was not crowded at all as we almost always had the beach to ourselves during our trip! The water was cold but the shell hunting was fantastic! Our unit had some beach gear provided, included umbrellas and sand toys for the kids. The onsite manager, Wanda, was available to answer any questions prior to and during our visit and graciously provided us with an early check in.
