We have been vacationing at Veranda Beach Club for over 20 years and my in-laws vacationed there since its inception in the early 1980's. VBC does a great job at updating the property on a fairly regular basis. New kitchens and bathrooms a few years back, new hurricane doors, and in 2021, all units received new furnishings, artwork and in the process of all being newly painted. The boardwalk to the beach was redone in 2020. The pool and hot tub were completely redone for 2021 with new surface and tiling. It's beautiful. The VBC pool is awesome as part of the pool is under the building so you can get out of the sun but remain in the water. The WiFi seems consistent and the staff is responsive should you need anything during your stay. We love this section of beach as it is never crowded during our vacation. The location is perfect with a nearby CVS, Publix, bus stop, and some great restaurants on the island. It's also not far to go to shop at St. Armand's Circle or to go into Sarasota or Bradenton. The amenities cannot be beat. There are beach attendants daily to put up umbrellas or rearrange chairs, help you with the water sport accessories, etc. Bicycles, catamaran, paddle boards, canoes, tennis courts with pickleball included, fishing poles, gas grills and even beach towels so you don't have to pack your own. All free for guests to use. The views from the oceanfront units are absolutely stunning with the sun sparkling on the crystal water during the day and then the evening sunsets. You will love your stay at Veranda Beach Club. We certainly do and look forward to it each and every year.

We bought a week here two years ago because our friends have been coming for 40 years and we absolutely love it. I don’t think there’s anything else like it on the island. It seems. We are next to Publix and CVS. They have beach service and beach towels that’s included. The condos are beautiful and clean. They have bikes and 2 tennis courts (with pickleball lines) and a gym. The pool is halfway covered and they have a hot tub anything like this on 30a would be four times as much. Would love to see a dedicated pickleball court instead! You can always go to open play at bayfront park. Running on a shaded sidewalk is easy as well. The kids did a pirate ship, nighttime clear kayak tour and mote marine . We’ve rented pontoon boats for the day from marina jacks, cannons marina and Cortez water sports (prefer the latter). And this year did the e foiling lesson with AMI rentals - 100% recommend! We ate at Columbia (can do open table), mar vista (wonderful at sunset) and the beach house (heads up they have free valet parking otherwise you pay $20 for 2 hours for public parking). Went to the farmers market Sunday out at Lakewood ranch (far) but I think next year will just try to make it to the Sarasota farmers market on Saturday

Dirty!!! Dust hanging on headboards. Air conditioning door has an unbelievable amount of dust hanging from it, all of the vents including the bathroom fan are caked with dust. It’s discolored on the popcorn ceiling where the vents blow out. Seriously when was the last time the filters were changed??? Floors were not mopped before we were given room. Wiped down the counters and it was coming up brown on the Clorox wipes. The outlets are very old and if you try to plug something in it slides right out of the outlet. May want to change those so you don’t have an electrical fire. The facility is dated which wouldn’t matter if it was clean and maintained properly. Publix and CVS are across the street which was convenient. Beach staff were an hour late one day to set up seating so we ended up doing it for ourself and others. — You’re welcome! I do not recommend this place due to it being extremely filthy. I left it cleaner than I received it. For reference the room we stayed in was 101

We have been coming here for 23 years. This past year was a very difficult time for the Veranda employees due to the hurricanes in October 2024. They did an outstanding job getting the property in shape to open a couple of months into 2025.

We love coming here as an extended family. It’s a great location in between two high rise condominiums. Very few people live in the condos year round, so it is like having your own private beach. The beach attendants are great. It is so comfortable on the beach because they set up padded chaise lounges and beach umbrellas to give you shade.

There are many extra activities: sailing, kayaking, work out room, ping pong, bikes, racquetball court, etc. My niece had her wedding on the beach 8 years ago and there is a large room for receptions.

There are a few problems. This past week our unit had dirt in the corners of the bathrooms, some mildew and poor caulking jobs. There are several large marks on the ceilings and walls and poor patching of walls where art has been moved. The worst thing is the condition of the kitchens. Old cabinets, old appliances: this year we had to ask to have the dishwasher and oven replaced because neither worked. They handled that problem right away, so it all turned out ok. The washer and dryers are new and very nice. There are two gas grills under a tiki hut between the building and the beach. This is awesome.

The pool is beautiful. Part of the pool is out in the sunlight and part is under the building if you want shade.

One of the most convenient things is right across the street you can walk to Publix and CVS!

Overall, the Veranda is a wonderful vacation place. If you chose to purchase a unit be aware that every year you have to pay condo fees and taxes which add up Some years there have been special assessments to repair things and keep the...
