Gulf Tides of Longboat Key — Hotel in Longboat Key

Travelled with two friends. Had a two bedroom unit. One room has a king bed and attached bathroom. The other room had two twin beds. There is a another bathroom in the hall. IF you want resort run activities or luxurious bedding, this is not the resort for you. Our unit kitchen was well-appointed. It appears the furniture and countertops were modernized during the last few years. Our unit, like most at this resort, was across a busy street from the beach. Two units on the Gulf side are still closed after hurricane damage. The beach was beautiful and chairs were readily available for our use. Umbrellas could be obtained by asking in the office. You must ask for beach towels in the office as well. The pool was heated and very enjoyable. We would go back to this resort. You are left alone to enjoy your vacation! The staff was very friendly. This is the third time I’ve stayed at Gulf tides. I stayed in the East building. This time I was a bit disappointed. I had my family join me, the air conditioner went out and we spent a night sweating, the second toilet did not flush so from 4pm to 9:30am we all had to use the master. On day 6 after having the toilet fixed on day 2, it broke again. I do enjoy the location but need to add Its time to bring the room up to speed. These are not conditions that promote a restful vacation. The beds are very old and uncomfortable. Gulf Tides Management, please consider updating the beds and furniture. We have been staying here every year for over a decade. It's clean, very friendly staff. Access to the beach is just across the street for the regular rooms. They do have units right on the beach as well. The area segmented off for guests is more than enough and there aren't any other resorts close so the beach feels soo private. There's room for you and your little ones to roam without being overwhelmed by tourists. If you go the same time each year you get to know some of the others like family.
