Harmony Motel — Hotel in Los Angeles

I chose to stay at the Harmony Motel over other similarly priced motels in the area because their website had explicit guidelines regarding COVID-19, which I appreciated.

It's a quaint place, and decently priced for the size and amenities (which are currently limited because of COVID-19). I found the room clean and comfortable with basic necessities accounted for.

The kitchenette is a nice add-on, especially since there is a Dollar Store and Stater Bros located less than a mile from the motel. The kitchenette comes with basic kitchen tools, a few nonstick pots and pans, and coffee machine. Nothing fancy, but enough to make a decent meal without fuss. It also has a window with great lighting for a relaxing breakfast and coffee in the morning.

Another bonus is the proximity to the Twentynine Palms entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. From my experience, it's a much easier way of getting into the park, and was much less crowded compared to the entrance from Joshua Tree proper.

All in all, a comfortable, functional place to stay, and highly recommended if you're looking for a weekend getaway while staying safe during social distancing. It's not luxury hotel, but it is as advertised, especially since you'll presumably be spending most of your time visiting the park instead of staying...

BEDBUGS! I was staying here for almost 2 weeks now with my girlfriend and this past couple of days I have been waking up to some really bad bed bug bites. The first I got bit I was when I slept in after work woke up an hour later it was 7 p.m. I walked up to the front desk to let her know that I got bit nicely well as I tried I didn't get to finish my sentence the lady cut me off yelling at me saying "We dony have that here!... NO! NO!" I asked to change tooms, she then mentioned that earlier that day my girlfriend asked for a favor to have a bigger fridge and her husband brought it over and said said that I have a complain after her husband carrying a fridge. Which has nothing to do with this. So I said yea your right and walked away. Room 4. I dont know how to upload pics here to show the bites. Husband is super nice and I love shower. Price over the phone was lower than later when we showed up she raised the price. Overall the bedbugs experience is horrible especially going to work to shake hands with people having bites on my fingers. Girlfriend got bit once I got like 15...

This review is based on what the motel IS, not if you are expecting the Ritz! Extremely clean Motel. I was really pleasantly surprised the rooms had a fresh smell to them and were very clean. The location is right on a busy road but within walking distance of a few restaurants. There was a TV in the room. No pets are allowed. The price was very reasonable however they charge a deposit for your key and tried to charge us other add-ons like a credit card processing fee. That's the reason why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. They have the motel on lockdown possibly because something has happened there in the past? They are strict and you get the sense that folks have caused issues for them before. If you need a place in the area to sleep, are on a budget and can make due with really basic accommodations, this place works....
