Joker Bistro Shawarma, BBQ, KEBAB — Restaurant in Los Angeles

If I could give a 0 I would. I placed an order at 12:16 am for a beef shawarma. The reviews and website claimed they were open late. Upon arrival the place was empty with lights on. A man came in and gave the most disgusted look and told me to get out. Pointed at the clock, disregarded that I paid for a beef shawarma , and pushed me out. I gave him the rationale that I had an order and it says you are open, and he proceeded to shove me out the door like I was trying to rob him.

I do not recommend this place at any point for late night food. I've never been more mistreated at a place in Sunland ever.

Update 7/22/24 I have been trying to call them everyday for a refund and finally got an answer on Monday (when they are closed ironically). The guy who answered was the same who was disrespectful but on a new level. After having a conversation with him about my order, I requested for a refund when he decided to say "sorry I do not speak English" and proceeded to hang up on me.

Located in a small strip mall on the south side of Foothill Blvd. Small parking lot, which is normally pretty full during the day. They are where Chor’s used to be. The older gentleman wasn’t very welcoming, but the younger gentleman was very nice. I hadn’t seen or heard of them before so I ordered for pickup. It’s nice to see they have a few tables inside for dining in. Everything looks new and clean which is a plus. The food was good. The proportions were a bit off. The meat was cooked well, very tender and tasty. The salad was a bit soggy, but I liked the dressing. Heavy on the carbs with rice and pita. Definitely would’ve enjoyed it more if it came with hummus...

Absolutely incredible! Joker Bistro is hands down the best shawarma spot in Sunland Tujunga. The meat is perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender you can tell they put real care into every wrap. The garlic sauce? Next level. It hits with just the right kick and pulls the whole meal together. The portions are generous, the prices are more than fair, and the service is friendly and fast. You feel welcome the second you walk in. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with friends, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend the chicken shawarma plate...
