Travel Inn — Hotel in Los Angeles

The area where the hotel is at leaves something to be desired but because most hotels in the area were booked ( I do not know why in the midst of a lock down), so no choice but to go with this ( trust me, there were worse ones in the list of choices, yuck!). It also appears that most folks who were staying in this area were either relocating or passing through because none look to be from the area ( to be honest, they look like folks who lost their homes or were into drugs because their vehicles were mostly packed) but anyway, even though I requested to be on the first floor I was assigned to the second floor, between two rooms that were just noisy, and I told the front desk this, but no way to relocate me as the hotel has no vacancy so after two night I can take it no longer and had to check out early, and this was pre-paid stay the Chinese lady was none to happy that I was checking out and had the audacity to tell me that next time I need to be sure of my dates ( I heard her! and when I asked her to repeat what she said) she said nothing but of crse I already understood her grumbling, so lesson is that not to come back...

The office staff were rude making us stand outside to check in, seeing my husband and I but not acknowledging us. In walking around the motel, the ground was filthy with trash. Walking up the stairs to the room was the same, trash and gum on the stairs and they were filthy. Looks like they have never been scrubbed cleaned or washed down. Once in the room, we were missing a hand towel. The maid was working in the room next to our's so I went and asked her for a towel, which there were plenty on her cart. She told me no! I asked why and she said it was policy to just give one. I told her there were 2 full size towels as there is 2 of us and she still refused! I grabbed one off her cart and went to my room. The bathroom has no counter in which to lay your makeup or other products on. The sink was a single standing sink and the water drained very slow. The bathroom fan was disgusting with filth, dirt and dust. It was black! I stayed there because I had an appointment with a doctor in Panorama City the next morning, otherwise I would have gotten my money...

When we first arrived there were misleading signs as to when to check in. Lady at the counter handed me a form to fill out the required my vehicle information. And personal information I felt they did not need. Room information was also misleading. I was told there would be a mini fridge so I bought items to put in fridge when we arrived for the weekend. There was no fridge in our room but in others rooms there was. We were given a room that had not yet been cleaned and we were not informed of that. We waited in the car for 30 minutes while the maid cleaned out the room. The room was very spacious I will give them that. Limited parking. If you did not get back to the hotel by 6pm there was no parking. Our door jammed and had to be kicked open twice. There was mold growing in the bathroom. The maid left the last guests half used toilet paper on top of our new roll. A lot of people loitering around. Trash was left around the building for the two days we were there.
