Terrible. Waitress was rude. Asked where the drink menu was and got told there wasn’t one. Asked what they had and waitress said…what do you want? It didn’t get any better from there. Convenience fee is charged when buying beer (no sign posted). She didn’t tell me until she had my card. Wait for food was incredible (over an hour) especially considering one of us ordered the special. Food arrived only after I tracked the bartender down and asked her if our food had been started (if not we were going to leave). She wasn’t super excited but after I pestered her she did go check. Magically, 30 seconds later our food appeared but everything except one side of fries (which was hot) was lukewarm to cold. The other food had to be sitting for 15 minutes to get that cold. While I was asking the bartender if she could check on our food, other people at the bar (who were there when we walked in) were asking if they could get some olives to snack on because they were so hungry. ||Avoid...
Read moreEverything was perfect. It was right in the path of totality of the 2017 Eclipse, and we stayed there for it. The staff was always very nice without exception, and the rooms were nicer than we had expected. We were very happy about the fact that they had air conditioning. Our room had 2 queen beds, a fridge, a full bathroom, and some rooms had microwaves. The Subway that shares the same building is open until 10 so it's really convenient as far as getting something to eat goes. At night we saw all kinds of frogs (maybe toads), cicadas, and giant grasshoppers hanging out outside our door so if you haven't really ever seen a lot of those it's kind of cool. I realize I may be biased because that eclipse was by far the coolest thing that has ever happened to me, but I think I would probably still be giving them this good a review, even if it hadn't...
Read moreWay overpriced for such an old-fashioned motel with non-functioning wi-fi. There was not even any counter or shelf in the restroom. Guests have to sit their toiletries on the toilet tank. I understand why I was the only guest at the place. I would expect to pay around $40 for a motel like this. After 2 1/2 frustrating hours not being able to get my work done because the wi-fi would not stay connected for more than a couple minutes, I requested a refund and drove to the St. Paul Inn 30 minutes away. It was $5 cheaper, more spacious and more modern and the wi-fi is...
