From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we knew that the Brittany was special! All the rooms had full size natural wreaths on the doors and other decorations for the holiday season. The online check in and easy instructions to open the door saved time and were appreciated. The room was much more like a quaint B & B than a roadside motel. The bed had a bunch of pretty throw pillows and a soft furry extra blanket. There was even a small, decorated Christmas tree on one of the bedside tables. It even had lights which were on to greet us! There was a good size mini fridge that even had a freezer. We took advantage of the freezer to store a cheese cake made by the Skellig Nuns that we purchased at Henry's in Bennington. Being a bookworm, I loved the mini library that was in the room. There were several books of different genres. Something for everyone to kax on one of the 2 armchairs provided. The breakfast/snack room is open 24/7 which was really nice when we came in late and I was hungry! There were lots of food choices too: fruit, yogurt, soups, English Muffins, coffee, hot cider and chocolate and more. This room also had extra towels. TP, tissues, etc yo gran if you needed them. There was also a DVD library and a comfy couch for hanging out. Even though reservations, check in and check out are all handled online, it was easy to get ahold of someone with any concerns. In fact, we were casually asked twice during our 2 day stay if everything was alright. They were excellent at taking care of the grounds. It snowed about 3 inches during our last night. This was completely cleared on walkways and the driveway very early in the morning. Many thanks to everyone at the Brittany! We had a wonderful experience and look forward to returning! Mahalo! "Great little motel in the middle of nowhere" is how I described it to people. I typically stay at places like the Marriott or Hampton Inn but decided (on a whim) to stay here while I explored the area for a few days. Self check in was easy and my room (#9) was very nice! TV and Wifi worked great. Water pressure and temperature was great — bed was comfortable, etc. There are some Adirondack chairs right outside to relax in. There is also a little lounge that had snacks and DVDs. For breakfast there was coffee and cereal and a few other things — more than I was really expecting, to be honest! My communication with the owners was all done by text but that was fine with me since I only stayed over one night and then left in the morning. I guess you could say it's a little spooky at night cause you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but it was fine and very peaceful. When I checked in I seemed to be the only guest but when I came back to the motel later, there were several cars. I would definitely recommend it!

My mother (92) and I (68) stayed overnight last Friday and it was wonderful. The room was spotless and perfect for our needs. The step in / threshold was very low so she was able to get in w/out difficulty. The bathroom was sparkling clean and had Beekman toiletries! I was in Beekman heaven. We had a little picnic dinner at the table , sitting in comfy cushioned wicker chairs, listening to the light rain and watching the fog roll down from Equinox Mountain. The fridge was stocked with extra water bottles. The a/c was easy to figure out and worked great. We were very near our destination so we had a leisurely breakfast the next morning from the communal room ( self serve fruits, cereals, coffee, juice, etc.). I never expected a motel to be so focused on the guest experience. If the weather had been better I would have loved to lounge out by the fire pit and watched the VT night sky. You just can’t control the weather. !

From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we were impressed. Our door had a beautiful live wreath hanging up. The instructions to open the door were very easy, we waked in and were greeted with a charming bedroom, much more like a country B & B than a motel. There was even a small Christmas tree lit up on one end table! The bed had charming throw pillows, and there were 2 arm chairs to relax in. Our in-room fridge even had a freezer which came in handy to store the Skellig Nuns' cheesecake we bought at Henry's in Bennington.|There were so many nice touches throughout. I appreciated the decorations, table and chairs the makeup removal washcloth, the extra washcloths, toiletries, coffee, etc.|I loved that the snack room was open 24/7. We came in late one night, and I was hungry. There were several choices for both hot and cold snacks, including fruit, yogurt. English Muffins, soups, etc. This room also had extra towels, tp, tissues, etc if you needed them. There were also DVDs to borrow. Each room had several books, if you wanted to read a bit too.|Everything at the Brittany is handled online, from reservations to checking in. It was all seamless! If you needed anything that was not already provided, it was easy to reach someone to get help. There was always someone around asking if we had everything we needed.|Staying at the Brittany was a...

Wow! We found Brittney Motel by accident after a 12 hr train + car ride. When we arrived (on a Saturday night) the owners said they were fully booked and we were about to leave. They then chased us down in the parking lot and offered the last room in the motel they “haven’t updated yet” if that would be alright with us. So incredibly kind. And the room was sparkling clean and well put together. They showed us a redone one the following morning and they are just so charming.

They went above and beyond hospitality and care. It was our first stop in Vermont on a road trip and we couldn’t have asked for a better welcome wagon. The continental breakfast is a great touch - they even converted one motel room into a breakfast nook/lounge area which is so cozy and generous when you think about the $$ they could be making on that extra room. There are nice snacks and beverages on the honor system you can access at anytime 24/7. The best touch of all was the fire pit on the beautiful, sprawling front lawn. My mother and I only intended to take a peek and ended up out there chatting with other guests and making friends until midnight!

I rarely leave reviews unless I find something truly memorable or someone goes above and beyond...in this case both are true!

I would ignore bad reviews before 2019 as these...
