It is a shame I must write such a bad review for such a great hotel, BUT, while the experience could have been the best ever...|Do not stay in room 111 ever. The hotel has some sort of water cistern which must be refilled every third night at 3 AM for an hour and the pipe goes thru that rooms ceiling. Absolutely impossible to sleep through! I thought a guest upstairs was running their hot tub. When I called the front desk and spoke with the General Manager he was loud, rude and informed me to live with it as there was nothing he could do about it and not to bother him again. In the morning I went to the front desk to complain to him in person but he was gone. The nice lady employee at the desk said she would pass on my concerns to management to attempt to reschedule the time of the flow. This was Tuesday morning. The next morning I spoke with the Desk Manager lady who first told me that they had gone to great trouble to change the flow time to 1:30 am and then proceeded to argue with me and informed me to basically learn to live with it as there was nothing more they would do for me,that they were booked solid and could not offer me another room and that I should deal with it. I dealt with it by checking out 3 days early and going to the new Holiday Inn down the road. The regular employees were as nice and as helpful as they could be, the room amenities, the Montague community, the views, the ducks geese and swans as well as the food were all excellent but the management was the worst I could possibly imagine. They were rude and insulting and I never expected to be treated that way by anyone from Michigan. Shameful attitude, manager had an excuse for every complaint. No problem was their fault. We and no one we know will ever...
Read moreWe've stayed here in a number of occasions it's what I consider a basic accommodation. I booked two rooms totally came out to $240.you can't complain about that that's a pretty reasonable price of what you get the rooms are actually quite large larger than a lot of hotels actually. The bathroom's definitely need some kind of upkeep though the shower stalls get a lot of calcium buildup in the shower heads. This kind of causes the water to spray all over creation. Still an easy fix is to put the shower heads in a bucket of CLR solution.in about a half an hour would dissolve all of the calcium that's built up in the shower heads you just rinse them off with cold water reinstall them and you're good to go. Beds were quite comfortable they're a good size we had king size nice and firm.so I think overall it's a very good value for the money considering what place is cost up here in the Manchester Vermont area.the prime example would be staying in the equinox a room that is probably not really any bigger than this would end up costing you close to $600 a night and up during Columbus day weekend. Then I got two rooms for $240 which is still less than just one room for over $600.of course the amenities that come with that expensive room are very very nice but oh yes I forgot to include the fact that there is probably about another 60 to $80 resort fee added to that bill. Nothing like paying for the golf course even if you're not going to use it or the swimming pool which you really can't use much now because the...
Read moreI was in Manchester on business and the company I work for booked me a reservation online at the Weathervane. I arrived at 8:30am expecting the office to be open since the website stated that they open at 8am. The office was locked, and the lights were all off. I called the phone number listed on the website and no one picked up. I figured I would wait until 9am to see if anyone would show up. At 9am..no one showed up. I called the number again, and a disgruntled man picked up the phone. I explained to him the situation that we had booked a hotel room the night before and had made a note that I wouldn't be arriving until the morning. The man said that he got no such reservation and that it was the websites fault. He began screaming at me telling me that the motel was closed because "they had no customers". There were multiple cars in the parking lot, so either he was lying to me or there was something else going on here. Looking around the property I became grateful that these reservations had fell through, junk was strewn across the lawn and the outside of the building looked very run down. I would think that someone who "didn't have business" for the weekend would be more than willing to open their doors. I try to leave positive reviews, but this experience was so negative that I want to warn people before they stay here. There are plenty of other motels in the Manchester area which are much closer to town and in much better state and...
