We are giving this Park a One Star rating but we want to be clear, the staff should get five stars because they made it right with us. Planned a three night stay and arrived just as the office was closing. Got our site number - 141 - and map to it. First thing we notice was the roads were TIGHT, and that is saying something since we are towing a small 18 TT. Reached our site (a back in) and immediately thought no way in hell am I fitting in there. To start, there was a self drive in 140 with a tow vehicle that had parked across the front of their site, right on the edge of the road and on the border of our site. In 142, a van had parked close to the edge of the road (the concrete patios are actually set back about 10 from the road edge) so you get the idea I was having to thread the needle backing our rig in. The icing on the cake was the LARGE rig across the road from us. They had parked their get around town vehicle along the road edge basically eliminating any means of backing a trailer into our site. I drove around and thought, I would at least go back and try. One thing I noticed was how the hell were some of these rigs going to get out of their site?. Everyone had a vehicle right along the road, so no idea how some of these rigs were going to leave. Overall feel of a trailer park, not a high end RV park. So, back at our site I stopped and again thought how the hell???? Guy across the road was standing there and obviously saw the problem but made zero effort to make an offer to move his vehicle. That late, no way were we getting into another RV park, but we did find a nearby hotel where we spent a miserable night. I did leave a rather brash voice mail that night on the office recorder. Next morning early, I started looking for another Park and luckily found one. More expensive, but after we arrived we were happy with the switch. I also called and left another voice mail with Jolly Roger and sent them an email explaining what happened. As I said, the staff stepped up and we got a full refund. That said, I have no idea how this Park has gotten such a high rating. Sites were tight, rigs were right on top of each other. Very narrow road. We camped at Jolly Roger RV Resort in a...

The positive: The campground is nice and is in a great location. We felt our premium sites had plenty of room. The docks and water area was nice. The Negative: We called months ago and booked with two other couples to have three sites together. Multiple phone calls including the day of travel confirmed we were together. Upon check in, that was not the case. They had two of us together and moved the third a couple of spots closer after complaining. Said they could not move to the adjacent spot because the person coming had it reserved. Multiple times we were told sites could not be reserved and would not be available until check in but we would be together. Not sure how the other person had a specific site reservation. Regardless, we were told there were not three spots together and that it was a holiday so there was nothing they could do. Now, the real issue. The campground is loaded with sand spurs. We had our dog with us that was never able to walk around because of the sand spurs. I spent more time picking sand spurs out of my feet than I did enjoying the campground. We spoke to the manager and I am assuming her husband the next morning about not having three spots together and the sand spur problem. They miraculously had three spots together that we could move to but they had just as many sand spurs. When asked if we could have a discount for them not being up front and honest about the sand spurs and reservation, they said absolutely not as they would have to give a discount to everyone. Rudest campground hosts I have ever encountered. Since they will not disclose their problems, I will. For a premium site, you get literally 100,000+ sand spurs for your money. Bring boots if you want to walk around. Minus the sand spurs and the mangers, this would be a...

Nestled by the serene shores, Jolly Roger's RV Campground offers a lovely retreat for RV enthusiasts and relaxation seekers alike. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff ensured a welcoming and seamless experience throughout our stay.

The meticulous attention to cleanliness was evident in every corner, with facilities that gleamed with impeccable hygiene standards. The washing and drying machines were well maintained and of great quality, another testament to the campground's commitment to convenience for its guests.

While the water-saving shower heads aimed for eco-friendliness, their weak flow proved to be a minor inconvenience, requiring extra time for rinsing. However, this is but a slight drawback paled in comparison to the overall excellence of our stay.

What truly sets Jolly Roger's apart the other sites we have been at so far, is its idyllic beach setting, offering mesmerizing sunset views that painted the sky with a palette of colors every evening. Surrounded by a vibrant and amiable community of visitors, we found ourselves immersed in a haven of friendliness and tranquility in the evenings.

An added perk of the campground's location is its proximity, just a short 5-minute walk, to the Dolphin Research Centre. Here, I embarked on the unforgettable journey of becoming a "Dolphin Trainer for the Day" – an experience that stirred both awe and emotion as I worked intimately alongside these magnificent creatures. The dedicated staff and enchanting dolphins became my mentors, imparting invaluable knowledge and leaving a profound impact on me during my visit!

Our time at Jolly Roger's RV Campground was nothing short of delightful. We departed rejuvenated and grateful for our lovely...
