Chamonix Chalet at Snowshoe — Hotel in Marlinton

Wow, what an amazing place. Lovely 3-level chalet, sleeping 12, walking distance to the slopes. Our family enjoyed a mid-week stay here in January 2021, and had a blast. The snow was amazing, which always helps of course. But Chamonix would have made it a great time regardless. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day in the cold. The kitchen was modern and so complete. The gas fireplace on the main level was awesome, as was the wood stove on the first floor. Beds/linens were all very nice. The large, level, regularly plowed drive was a welcome plus. I think the only thing I would have liked to see added would be an expresso maker or even a simple Keurig coffee maker in the kitchen, for when I'm in a hurry. But even so, the kitchen made our stay great when the Snowshoe powers that be decided to shut down nearly every single restaurant for a COVID-19 scare, and tell no one what was going on, provide updates, etc. Chamonix saved...

This is a great place at Snowshoe for skiing, biking, or just enjoying the area. It’s perfectly secluded but close to everything so you can enjoy the wonderful area in comfort.
