Maui Meadows Guesthouse — Hotel in Maui

My father passed away a year ago and left us some money. My sisters and I decided to use some of that money to take our mom on vacation. She chose Hawaii because she’d always wanted to go there and never had the chance. She has macular degeneration and is losing her eyesight so we wanted to get our trip taken as soon as we can. After a lot of research we chose Maui as our destination and the Maui Meadow Guesthouse was perfect for seven women. We booked our tickets, and tours and reserved the house directly through Andrew, the owner. As the time approached we were so excited but then the Covid-19 pandemic hit and we decided we shouldn’t travel. We talked to Andrew about canceling and getting our money back. This was just a couple days before the governor of Hawaii asked people not to come there. Andrew, in my opinion, was not very accommodating in refunding our money. He only gave us 46% back of our total amount. We even tried to just reschedule and he made that difficult. We feel disappointed about the entire situation and hoped he would’ve been more understanding. I’m sure it’s a beautiful home, but I cannot recommend booking directly with him. Book with Airbnb or VRBO. They were more generous in giving full refunds due to the disruptions in travel because of...

This house is amazing. It is even better in person than it is in the pictures. We were celebrating the lives of my parents and wanted a place for family to spend time. We had age ranges from 4 years old to 65 years old and everyone enjoyed their stay. Andrew has made sure that everything you need is in the home. The pool and jacuzzi are perfect. They have pool floats and toys already there for you to use. We ate many of our meals outside under the cabana. The location of the house is perfect. It is only 5 minutes from Wailea. It is also very close to a perfect beach. You could walk, but Andrew has beach chairs and umbrellas to use, so we drove. Parking right there to use. Andrew and his Maui Meadows guesthouse were perfect! 10 of us, 4-76 years old, came from 3 different areas of the country for a mini family reunion. It was everything we needed, wanted and then some. Andrew was friendly, professional, accommodating, and fairly priced for what he offered. It was so much easier to stay at a larger home, 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathrooms, with our own pool and hot tub than trying to get a couple of condos close together. The home was fully stocked including, snorkel gear, beach chairs & towel, coolers, sun block, spices and more. I was actually in management, in the hospitality industry, for more than 10 years in Hawaii. I know what it takes behind the scene to provide such excellent accommodations and this is top notch.
