I don’t write reviews often, but I thought I would let people know my experience. We arrived Sept 10 at the hotel at 4:30 there was a line out the door for check-in. They had closed the lobby and only letting 1 person at a time to check-in. After waiting outside for 40 mins to check in. I had pre paid for room and had my comfirmation email with me and they could not find my reservation, after 30 minutes with the new girl working. She said she would take my number and call me but I insisted on talking to manager Nate about finding my reservation because I had prepaid for the room. My confirmation email had my friends name on it and mine. And they still insisted they could not find my reservation and told us that they were over booked and had no rooms. I said to Nate that I wanted to make sure I would not be charged for room and he said I would not because I didn’t have a reservation. So we left note time 6:50pm to find a room somewhere else. Keeping in mind a big event was going on the the hotels were full. I get home and find out that they had charged my room and that Nate the Manger who said I would not be charged. So I call and Nate said I didn’t give him the right name but bother our names were on the confirmation email and said our confirmation number didn’t match theirs. So he has told my credit card company that he will not reimburse me for a room. I was told he would not credit my account have and has left me to pay for it. This is a establishment I will never stay in, ever and management believes in stealing from the patrons. I wish them the best and karma will prevail. This place give Wyndham a bad name. Management -Nate- Bad...
Read moreFirst, I want to clearify to everyone who may read this that the hospitality I was given deserved the full 5 stars. However, I felt that 1 star needed to be taken away for the missing breakfast. I realize that hotels had to make some changes during the covid outbreak, but , for the most part, those regulations have been lifted weeks ago. Most other hotels have thankfully re-started serving breakfast. This might not mean that much to some people and that is perfectly acceptable and understood by me. However, when you work out of town and have to pretty much live in hotels the breakfast save you lots of money. The second star's cause of removal, was due too a couple of reasons. One, over the past couple of months I have found myself staying at this location several times. During these stayovers I have came to realize that the conditions of the rooms are drasticly different from one to another. Some, are in pretty ruff shape while others seem to have been revampt. Two, the atmosphere that I have sometimes witnessed on the hotels property has been questionable and once a little concerning. Maysville KY, for all accounts, seems like a nice ,welcoming, pleasent little town so maybe I have just been unlucky on these occasions and they are...
Read moreBooked a room online with king bed on the first floor 3 weeks in advance to my stay, called to double check they got the room as a king bed not the two doubles, and was told if that's what I reserved that's what I would get. Arrive at the hotel on the day of my stay, 10-9-21, they advice no king bed rooms available but they have a room with 2 double beds, that it would be the same cost. I told her I did not care about the cost that I would pay extra for the king bed room I reserved. She just shrugged her shoulders and said it's first come first serve. Whoever checks in first gets the beds. They don't actually make sure they have the room available before it's booked? She offered me a 5% discount for the trouble. Saved me $4 and and the future times I would stay as I won't be staying in this...
